Barber is the most limited of the backs. His per carry average shows he can’t really step up if there are injuries and be productive in the regular offense.
They never signed Barber to be an every down back. He’s a goal line and short yardage specialist and he is a very good one. Miller has played in just one game in 2 seasons and brings nothing special to the table. If they decide someone else can handle short yardage runs that’s fine. But until they do it would be foolish to cut Barber.
