2012 Redskins Training Camp

I hadn't heard that. Shanahan loves him a solid stable of RBs though, so its not really surprising. If I had to pick between the two I'd take Ced, but only because Grant has been injured a LOT lately. Its only a matter of time with Benson though, at 30-years old and seeing the workload he has.

Could just be camp bodies...or maybe my boy A Morris isn't impressing like they wanted him to. Who knows? Its a little early for stomach turning though! :)
 
I know the post said this is different from LJ and Fast Willie, and I suppose it is, but I was really hoping for a dominant youth movement this year. I just hope this doesn't indicate that Royster/Helu/Morris is not living up to expectations.

Then again, it's the first day of training camp. Perhaps I can find a valium.

Ha...as Redskins fans, we are used to having the paper bag ready for panic attacks. I think we can put it away for now, we're in capable hands!
 
If Hightower is healthy, we absolutely do not need another vet back. Who has three starting-caliber running backs? In Hightower and Helu, we have two. Royster, while I haven't been blown away by him just yet, is more than serviceable as the third back.

Also, I could not possibly be less worried about RGIII. He'll be grippin' and rippin' today.

Couldn't agree more. I will add I think I am more impressed with Royster than you are, I thought I saw something special flash a couple of games, but that may be me projecting again...
 
Hightower is coming off an injury, Helu has yet to shown himself as a durable every-down back, and Royster has yet to show that he's anything more than a third down back.

Bringing in backs is fine in my book, as long as it's done smartly and we aren't destroying our cap in the process.

I thought cedric benson was a bit of a problem child off the field though?

Goal, Royster had 19 rushes for 132 yards-an average 6.9 yards/carry-against the Vikes and 20 rushes for 113 yards-5.7 yards/carry against the Iggles with a longest run of 28 yards in both games. He also had 6 rushes for 44 yards-7.3 yards/carry against the Pats. His totals were 56 rushes for 328 yards-5.9 yards/carry-for the season.

He also had 4 receptions for 44 yards against the Iggles.

Zero fumbles.

You aren't imagining things. :)
