Bah. Hate it. Just hope Chicago can take them out. I'd like the trophy to be on the east coast - except Miami. I knew when it was 75-71 Celts early in the 4th (exact same score in previous game - early in 4th) that the game was going to be in Miami's favor.

Heck, Memphis or OKC would be good landing spots for the trophy.

Heartfelt apologies to Celtics fans. But seriously, how these old timers even made it to the Finals last year is one of the greatest mysteries in history. They had absolutely no chance against Miami. And trading Perkins was the last nail in the coffin.

Miami looks great. They are a bunch of bitches compared to Orlando, but Orlando sucks so hard that they couldn't even beat Atlanta. So they, and their fans, have no leg to stand on.

Miami-OKC could be the most athletic championship that we have seen in any major sport in the last decade. Pure thoroughbreds going at it.

No older vets to speak of. No past-their-prime players hoping for one last ring. Instead, simply the young future of the league. I am old. I like the old guys. But I can't lie and say that I'm not excited to possibly see the energy and athleticism of the young guys on display.

This series was very close. Boston just seemed to self-destruct at the ends of the last two games. I really expected the series to go seven.

Much respect to Boston for such a game fight with so many wounded players.

Tons of respect for those here who root for a team through good and bad. None for those who only root against a team.

I clearly remember the theatrics of the Bulls when Jordan hit "The Shot" to win a first round series against Cleveland in 1989.

You know it's not required that your team still be in the playoffs to be involved in this thread. After all, there are still four teams left that can stop the scourge of the league from winning it all. ;)

Great effort from Memphis tonight. That win keeps Dallas on the sidelines waiting for an opponent. Never a good thing when you're on a roll.

Dallas has to be hoping OKC can pull it out. I do not see Memphis as a good matchup for them. Too long, big, and athletic.

OKC fans chanting "We Want Dallas" at the end of the game. :)

I'd like to see both series go seven games with classic finishes. My preferred matchup would be OKC-Chicago in the finals, but it looks like the four best teams are in the conference finals - as it should be.

It's only the third quarter, but the Bulls look solid. They seem to have taken to heart the criticism that Rose has to carry the team too much. Good ball movement, and man are they active defensively.

Bulls are relentless. Multiple threes off of scramble situations aren't helping.

Clearly the best they've played in the playoffs to date. If they are really this good they'll sweep.

Is Dirk human? Holy crap. Missed three shots all night? Unreal.

So who ya got? And in how many games?

I'm picking Dallas in 6. Dirk is locked in. I thought he might have been rusty after the long layoff between rounds 2 and 3, but nope, he came back and dominated from the beginning. Dirk is the one guy who can give the Heat a ton of trouble. not sure why the waited until game 4 to double Rose with Bron and Bosh, but that was a pretty clear advantage.

Bosh is not strong defensively, and Dirk will tear through Bron. Not a good matchup for the Heat.

I don't pick winners when I have a vested interest. I'm a jinx that way. I do see a hell of a series that goes seven games.

So many people seem to be sleeping on the Heat defense though. There is not a better one in basketball this year. This will be the first quality defense that the Mavs have faced in the Playoffs. Dirk will not be guarded by the likes of Collison and Ibaka. He will face a bevy of defenders in Anthony, James, Bosh, and noted Dirk-killer Udonis Haslem.

Bosh is also not a weak defender, he just has strengths that most four's don't. His work against the Bull's pick and roll was a key to the last series. He is mobile and long, just not a physical presence inside. But then neither is Dirk.

I can't wait to see how Carlisle attempts to defend James and Wade. Dirk can't cover LeBron, Marion can't for 40 minutes. Neither Terry nor Kidd can stick Wade. Maybe Dallas goes zone.

I think Dallas goes zone part of the time, assuming Wade and Bron won't hit threes all night long. Then Marion will D up Bron at the end of the game, and maybe put Terry on Wade, with Kidd as the double.

This is Dallas's revenge for the travesty that was the 2006 Finals game three.

As much as I have no interest in the Mavs, and I have never had anything against the Heat, I would love to see the Heat go down in flames, just so we don't have to spend the next several months listening to LeDouche and all the "experts" tell us how smart and right they all were.
