Former champion SkinsFanPip said he is in. I’m still waiting to hear back from 1 more person who has played in the past. But if anyone else who has not signed up wants to play, let me know ASAP. I’m going to close registration this weekend so that we can start talking about draft days and times.
 
Not at this time, brother. Still getting my feet under me Over Here and figuring out what my new life is going to look like. You know me--I don't like to dive into things I'm not able to put the time in to at least be conversant/competent. I can see it happening next season though ...
 
Thanks for reaching out, Kel and John! I really appreciate it because I'm so busy my head is not on straight. This is good news for everyone else in my draft, because I haven't done jack crap research yet, lol. I look forward to either autodrafting and winning the whole thing, or spending the next week researching and doing mock drafts and...comingi n dead last! Cheers to a good season everyone!

My thought was, with a lot of free time on your hands, this would be a good time to jump in and learn. But all good!

not trying to change your mind... but...


i've seen plenty of data points (mostly by myself) that you can put in all the effort and research you want and still fall flat on your face :)
 
I want to throw this out to get some feedback. We currently have 14 people signed up. We can do a 14 team league or we can do 2 leagues with 10 people. To do 2 leagues, we would need some people to play in both league I know we have done that in the past, but to get to 20, 5 others would have to agree to play in both leagues. I would be in each league to manage things.

The downside to 14 team league is less player availability.

The upside is we just have 1 league with everyone.

The downside to having 2 leagues is that if you are in both leagues, it’s more work to keep up with 2 teams.

The upside is being in a 10 team league, there are more players available for all teams.

I just wanted to get some feedback from people and see what their opinion is.
 
I personally like the 14 team league....forces you to manage a bit more in my opinion. Regardless though, I am fine with whatever format the group prefers.
 
I would definitely only want one team to manage. I have my own league that I run as commish, so that keeps me pretty busy.
I think a 14 team league would be ok. Makes it a bit more of a challenge.
 
I appreciate the feedback. We will go with the 14 team league. We will all be in one league. I have sent the invites to the new members of the league via PM. Please join as soon as you can. Once we get all the teams, I can randomize the draft order and schedule. I'll send another message tomorrow about possible draft times.

It’s time to discuss draft times. We will do the best we can to accommodate as many as we can. But with 14 people, it may be difficult to find a time that works for everyone. We also have people in different time zones, so I need to know what you can and can’t do. This is your chance to give feedback and tell me when you are available. These times are eastern.

Friday 8/23 - After 7pm
Saturday 8/24 - After 2pm
Sunday 8/25 - After 2pm
Tuesday 8/27 - After 7pm
Mon 9/2 - After 4pm
Tuesday - After 7pm

These are just ranges, so you can give a more specific time that works.

I think Friday and Saturday are going to be tougher. I can do any of the others.
 
I can make any of them work, that said, selfishely with young kids i'd love to go 'later' in the evening, like after 8 PM, but if the group has a better option i can absolutely handle any of them

I need to set the draft time, so I can randomize the draft order. So if you can give me your feedback by tomorrow, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I will just set it based on what feedback I got.
 
This weekend would be rushed for me, so these dates are my preference:

Tuesday 8/27 - After 7pm
Mon 9/2 - After 4pm
Tuesday - After 7pm
 
This Friday and Saturday would be tough for me - I'd probably set auto-draft.

The rest of the dates/times are good though.
