Game day Thread : Redskins @ 49ers

Made it back a few mins ago on the fg drive to take the lead.

Tight game!

How's RG3 done?

Thanks for all the 411 in this thread! You guys are awesome!

RG3 has been better than last week, which was a very low bar, but he hasn't been great either. He has at least had a couple of good throws. The biggest difference today is the running game has been great, and the defense was great except the first drive of the game, and this last drive.

Zero chance of winning this game with RG3.

Gruden was in a tough spot there.

Put McCoy in and try to win, or leave RG3 in with no chance to win.

Team put forth a decent effort overall. Turnovers on defense, Morris ran well. Punter kept 49ers pinned deep several times.

But we were again undone by poor play by the qb. We ran a vanilla passing game that never challenged the 49ers, going the safe route consistently on third downs, almost admitting the plan was to not turn the ball over and simply punt.

I can see you doing that with a 22 year old rookie qb or a backup that is coming in cold because of injury, but this is your season opening starter.

Gruden used 25% of the playbook in this game, tough to win that way.

The D comes up big again. Great performance from them today.

Griffin is embarrassing himself out there. 4 yard check down with 92 yards to go at 1:40 on the clock?

Sack/fumble on the following play?

Does anyone really think Colt McCoy could not have done better than this?

Yeah, great job by the D today. Played very well with the exception of a two drives. The offense, great by Alfred Morris all day, nothing from RG3 outside of a couple of throws. One good drive won't win you the game.

We're the sacks shit line play or Bob holding too long?

He's done.

It's now down to three. McCoy, Cousins or a QB we draft.

Some of you guys crack me up. None of the QB's on the roster would have fared well behind that line. Robert got jack shit for blocking today.

While I admit this team has limited talent, Griffin is indeed holding it back from winning any games.

The Redskins could have won the Vikings game and today's game with just a few more plays from the qb position.

Griffin's record so far 0-4.

Cousins/McCoy's record so far 3-4.

I am not disappointed by the effort. The 49ers are a good team, we are not. We played them tight in their house with a chance to win at the end.

We did not get it done when it counted most.

Center and entire right side of the line was pitiful. Proud of the overall effort, but the OLine needs at least three replacements in the offseason, maybe four.

The outcome of this game today centered around the fact that the 49ers knew Griffin was not going to beat them with his arm. Because of that they could survive 3 turnovers and come back with one decent drive in the fourth quarter to close the game out.

That last 'drive' with 1:41 left on the clock was simply pathetic.

Hi Win. Sorry for the delay in response. My computer has been acting up today.

The O-line was great in run-blocking. Moses was beaten for a few sacks.

The real problem is that RG3 wouldn't even try to throw the ball down the field.

He could have attempted that final drive 100 times, and he would have failed 99 times.

Moses was on the left. The right side was great.
