I mean, technically they, or he, could make the case that it is the jersey he wore in his playing days. It doesn't say " Commanders ", ( He didn't want his name on a Commanders jersey. Understandable. ) and since he did make an appearance at the first game under Harris & Co ownership ....
I...
It would be great if they announced a Riggins number retirement while revealing a burgundy counterpart to the white " Super Bowl Era " jerseys on draft day, and have him announce our second draft pick, or have him at the stadium.
Hard to tell exactly what color those helmets on the shelves are. At first sight, I would say they are just black helmets.
As for the ( gloss ) burgundy helmets in the foreground, I think they look like the burgundy helmets we used up through 2021, but regardless, it looks like the matte finish...
If there going with the Greco - Roman theme, you could still do that with WFT.
There is no name that will do that.
Almost no one is saying this.
Its not like they can do anything else, but tolerate it.
No, because your not asking your fans to accept something else new, besides giving up...
On this, I'll just say, they could have just stayed WFT, and as much as some people disliked it, it was as close to just being called " Washington " as we could get ( you could never get a trademark for just the word " Washington " ) and over time I think it would have fared just as well, if not...
I would love for them to get rid of the name, but on the name itself, so far, it doesnt look like the sentiment of the fans has been a large part of the equation.
If they ever did re-brand again, they would never go with any name like those.
All of those are too simular to, and just as stale as Commanders.
I don't think picking another name just because it's not Snyder, is enough for them, also.
Another re-brand would only come because they genuinely...
We didn't get a look at the new " SB Era " uniforms last year until the teams birthday, which is July 9th.
Since rumors have us getting two new uniforms this year, maybe we will get one before that.
A team can wear an alternate uniform four times a season. It will be interesting to see how they use a new alternate ( which I assume would be burgundy also ) along with a new burgundy version of the Super Bowl era jeresy, assuming again that's what we get.
So, we could wear the white at home...
It appears I'm in the minority. I actually like that " W " better with that helmet. To me, it's more cohesive. The gold stripe with the bordering white stripes, and then the gold W with the white outline.
Although, I wish they would just get rid of the stencil effect altogether.
Just wondering, what do y'all think ... For this logo, ... With stripes, or without ?
I vote, without.
