    I think it's because with that design the base color is black...but the fact that it is black is not the focal point of the helmet. The burgundy and yellow W and stripes really stand out with that variation, and it is without question better than the current black. I get the frustration...

    Get yourself the white Super Bowl era Commander’s jersey. The name Commanders is not on that jersey and they are virtually identical to the ones the team had when we won our first Super Bowl in 1983. More than likely that is becoming the Main jersey anyway.

    Yup, perhaps you are right. Now we are rebranding back to Washington “Football Team”..i.e. Washington “oh shit…now what”with an actual name. Many may never like Commanders, but at least it is an actual name.
