Burner’s Burning Questions – Week Sixteen

The season ending game is upon us and we are left with more questions than answers at this juncture. Let’s get right to the questions.

1. Another week, another injury (Roy Helu). Is our luck really that bad?

Answer: It sure seems like it. Toss in the mind numbing choices that two suspended starters made and this has been a very frustrating season. Stay optimistic though. Next season is bound to have a decent measure of good luck.

2. Rumors were spreading that John Beck could play on Sunday. Is that a smart choice?

Answer: This rumor has been debunked by Coach Shanahan. There is always the chance that Rex Grossman could get hurt and Beck’s services would be needed.

3. Dave McKenna has left the Washington City Newspaper. Is this a good thing?

Answer: Fans are going to have differing views about this news. BBQ sees this as a positive and hopes to never hear of his name again.

4. PFT seems to suggest that Coach Shanahan is on the hot seat. Could he be fired after Sunday’s game?

Answer: This is highly unlikely. BBQ continues to believe that Coach Shanahan will be here for the duration of his contract and probably beyond the allotted five year time frame.

5. Aldrick Robinson could make his debut on Sunday. Are there any expectations at this point?

Answer: There is a chance that Robinson could be on the inactive list. If he isn’t, this would be a good time to impress the coaching staff.

That’s all for this week. Enjoy the game.
Hail to the Redskins!
