Yes, at the Texas State Fair, they sell Fried Butter. Right next to the Fried Oreos.

Bet you woulda tried the Fried Butter if they enticed you with a dipping cup of melted butter, for extra flavor.
Then a side of mayo and Ranch.

I think it was Ruby Tuesday restaurant where I saw they had Fried Ice Cream on the menu.
I said, "I'll try it"
And they just bring me out a glass of milk.
What the ?

Hahahaha.

I’ve had friend ice cream. Loved it. There was a Mexican restaurant in fair lakes called Tia’s and it had fried ice cream and a cheesecake chimichanga.

I might still be working off the weight I gained from those 2 dishes, and it must have closed 20 years ago.

I remember that Tia's. Didn't they close back around 2005 or so due to a missing night manager?

I really don't know. I worked right near there, would go for lunch maybe every other week with a buddy.

Company was sold in 2004 and I left. And had no real need to go back to that area for years. By the time I went back it was gone. I think there was also a Macaroni Grill there, which was also gone. Or maybe MG replaced Tia's? Anyway, I think it's a bank now.

I miss the Cheesecake Chimichanga. And the fried ice cream. And my memory is the flautas were outstanding.

If you ever travel to Florida, look up Tijuana Flats.
They are only in Florida. But they're all over the state.
They do killer Flautas, among other things. Then you take your food over to the Sauce Bar, for about 15 sauce pumps to choose from
 
Just an FYI that we've been buying our shrimp from Lidl. These are $6.99/lb. They are easy peel and already deveined.
