Music Recommendation Thread

He isn't a member here, but I had a friendly debate with an ES guy about which version of this song was better -
Springsteen's original version, or the cover version below it.

I'm not a huge fan of the song or the Boss. I think I'd go Manfred Mann.

I have been a huge Springsteen fan since the late 70's. Greetings from Asbury Park always felt like an experimental album to me - he was still figuring out who he was musically. Blinded by the Light has never been one of my favorites - but I would have to agree the Manfred Mann version was more appealing - they played the hell out of it on the radio back then. Springsteen actually had more early play with other artists covering his stuff (Because the Night which Patty Smith co-wrote but was mainly a Springsteen creation, and Fire, one the Pointer Sisters had a huge hit with. Then Born to Run hit and Springsteen really came into his own.

Boy, they sure did play the hell of the MM version

So I think most of you probably don't dig any of this but I do. I'm cooking Sunday gravy with rigatoni and I just watched the sun set here in Medellin from the balcony. My lady is napping on the couch. I'm having a drink with a little 2C. 🤣

Just me chilling and listening to some great music 😍

While you're in Columbia, and she's napping while you watch Latin music videos, you can closely watch the music video's dance moves, and learn some Salsa Calena & Cumbia moves, for even more of a blast there !
Funky Wolf !

Depends on what you call metal? IDK? I like older original metal, but death metal and the deep screaming voices ain't for me. Post some of your favorites!

Yes I like some Alter Bridge. I used to have the Blackbird CD

I'd love to see them live. I should have added that I lost that CD along with most of the others to divorce. Costly but worth every penny!

I am not a big metal head. I enjoy some of it, can live without some of it.
