Yeah Forbes was my last foray into that particular coping mechanism (that things needed to crater incredibly for us to luck into Snyder selling, and doing any one thing “better” in those final Rivera years may have warped the timeline and prevented that massive change, so better to just appreciate it and move on emotionally). From here on out, I’m way less generous with the silver linings.
Agreed, on the other hand, we have both seen games where elite QBs like Brady get some rocked by pressure that they look like bums for that game. It happens much more rarely, but I've seen elite QBs lose it. Conversely, we see how our lack of pressure continually makes scrubs, backups, and QBs getting their first starts look like first ballot Hall of Famers.
So yeah, I want the elite QB, but I also want the ability to make that opposing QB uncomfortable.
We’ve got a friend in Mike Tannenbaum, his next Super Bowl and MVP winners-

Tannenbaum: Jayden Daniels, QB, Commanders. Daniels will rebound from an injury-plagued 2025 season and reassert himself as the top quarterback of the 2024 draft class. He stays healthy, performs well throwing and running the ball and makes new offensive coordinator David Blough a prime head coaching candidate.
The Commanders' first Super Bowl came in 1983 against the Miami Dolphins, and in recent news, 'Selling Sunset' star Jason Oppenheim won the jersey of Super Bowl XVII MVP John Riggins' jersey at an auction for $470,000.
"For people like me who grew up idolizing Riggins, that 70-chip play is the most important single play in the history of the franchise," Oppenheim said to ESPN's John Keim. "Unquestionably. It won us our first championship. The other thing that speaks to me so much, probably more than any other piece of memorabilia I've ever seen is all the mud on it. I know John says it's blood, sweat and beer all over that jersey -- those are his words.
"I wanted to make sure these items were not controlled by someone who would hoard them, keep them from the fan base and have it as some type of investment opportunity,"
Sad to think that Riggo would need the money enough to sell these precious items. Hopefully that’s not the reason.Selling Sunset' television star makes childhood dream come true.

OK, I can't find any confirmation anywhere online---my neighbor just came by to visit with her pups and she told me that Riggo has passed away. Like I said, I can't find anything on it, and don't want to report misleading news.

Yeah, I saw about his jersey...I just wish I could find something on this.Dang. If so it definitely hasn’t been reported anywhere yet. He’s currently in the news for selling one of his legacy memento jerseys for almost half a million
