Random Commanders Thoughts

I recall checking the box score in the paper after every game the next day to see if Rypien had been sacked.....yeah kind of weird but he ended up being sacked 7...yes Seven times during the entire 16 game regular season. For some reason that has always stuck out to me of that season. Every hog on that roster deserves huge credit along with Bugel!

Bugel was already coaching the Phoenix Cardinals in 1991. Beathard was gone after 1989 as well.

Also, Rypien wasn't sacked in the Postseason at all. So 19 games played and 7 sacks.

That OL was ridiculous. The only dude from that OL in the HOF didn't even play in the 87 and 91 Super Bowls. What a joke the voters are. In fact Russ Grimm started 1 game that year.

Jimmy Johnson totally ruined the 1991 Redskins team, lol, the same Redskins team that is now ranked as the #1 most dominant team in NFL history.

Didn't ruin that season for me - loved every minute of it!

Now if we want to talk about his ability to ruin a pre-game / halftime show.... I'm here for it

Yeah I hated that act those guys do I went so far as to rooting for the Pats to beat the Giants. It's just so lame to actively celebrate a team losing. But with the new schedule I think 14-0 is pretty safe.

Ratings are out.

Yeah I was joking. I have no idea what that guy is talking about.

Will Allen, Payne, and Lattimore be willing to take pay cuts this year to help bring home the Lombardi? Vet min is close to 1 million per year.

One thing I’ve really enjoyed in this early offseason is being able to watch the NFL network replays they have from the previous season. For the longest time, I rarely watched any because they were always games form other teams. Our games are popping up it seems like every week. Earlier this week, it was the game against the Bengals. That game was so much fun. It’s when I really started to believe in this team and started to expect them to win almost every week.

Worse than games from other teams, it felt like anytime anyone needed a highlight we were always the team being victimized

I record all of those games and at times go back and watch games not involving our team. It helps me get my fix before training camp. They are fun because in most cases I don't remember who won.

With this team finally playing good, I'll need to try to get back into 10yardtorrents. I can't even imagine how many old games i've lost to broken harddrives but it would be nice to be able to play some of the recent ones. I can still watch last seasons games because i recorded them on yttv but those will expire eventually.

I did this last night, watched the Bears/Vikings specifically to watch Caleb Williams. First half he made some spectacular plays and I can see why people (like me) were excited about his potential. Then I saw him flat out miss so many receivers, on 2nd and 10 you have to hit that open receiver for a 7 yard completion.

We can talk about his situation all we want but at some point a QB has to hit what he is throwing at, that's the #1 thing, and I think Bears fans continue to be in denial about just what they have.

Agreed. The Bears offense couldn't even score a point against us in the Championship. The Bears suck.

Do we think this is true. Kevin Durant is the most famous commander’s fan?

Also, Guy Fieri can kiss my ass.

Fieri wouldn't be able to get within 100 yards of my kitchen. All the jewelry and goo in his hair just screams NASTY.

I think Matthew McConaughey is the most famous. Or Dale Jr.
I’d go with MM. generally speaking, A list actors are more famous than any athlete.

The exception being the top international soccer players who are basically worshiped as Gods everywhere in the world except here
