Yeah, Knight, I get that. Though the build quality has improved, Italian cars are finicky beasts. The only widely reported problems I have heard about are battery related (which are conveniently buried in the side wall of the trunk or boot for you).

I still don’t trust it enough to take it on an extended road trip.

I am kind of torn on what do with my pickup truck. I do live in a rural area and I use it for firewood, to take yard waste to the burn pile and occasional trips to the dump. I used to take my dogs in it until it became unreliable, now I just use the car unless she gets wet. It's also our only 4WD vehicle. I only drive it a few thousaind miles a year, it's a 2004 but only has 150,000 miles. So given it's hardly used it's hard to justify buying a replacement, but I also can't do without it.

My only vehicle is an '04 Canyon, crew cab with 154,000.
I love that truck.
 
The only car I ever loved was my first one that I bought used in 94.

'73 220 Benz. Someone had installed...I kid you not...blinds in the back window of it and tape deck under the steering wheel (left side).

Oh, mine was trouble from the start.

2 days after delivery, I found nuts in the passenger footwell. A day later the underside of the dashboard fell off. Took it in to be repaired and the service people cracked the dashboard screwing it back on. So they ordered a replacement, but when it arrived they’d ordered it for a left-hand drive (in the U.K. we’re RHD).

About 6 months after that was fixed the drivers window fell into the door.

Fixed that myself. All that held it in was a tiny plastic widget that cost about $2.

I had her for almost 10 yrs over which I had a multitude of electric faults, 2 broken ignition barrels, and 2nd gear selector broke 4 times.

Eventually, the cambelt let go while I was driving to Liverpool. Completely killed the engine! 😢

Got her fixed, but the engine was never the same. 😢

Current drive is far more mundane. Got an MG SUV.

I don't. Everything I do is within 5 miles of my home.
My husband's company kind of gifted it to him for all the travel his job required, to not put the extra miles on his '99 Monte Carlo z-34 (black, of course, black leather). After he passed away, I couldn't keep up everything on both vehicles...truck is gold and lighter cloth interior, making it the best option for year round here in ATL.

And as far as foreign cars: I have friends with an NSX (full Simpson racing belts & the suits with little booties, they're instructors at Road Atlanta)...they say if you're gonna have a Jaguar, you better have 2 because one will always be in the shop. :ROFLMAO:

I have a 2021 with 127000 miles.
I'm the opposite i drive an insane amount.
Go through vehicles every 5 years at most.
Still love my job and wouldn't go back to the factory if someone put a gun to my head.

I'm so sorry to learn that your husband passed away.
 
So I motivated myself to do a full overdue detail. 🤪 It took me 2 days as I’m still working myself back from a nasty case of Covid.

I know a couple of detail dudes too.

And all that's holy, I thought this was about muscle cars. Only non-GM car I've ever had was a Subaru. It didn't survive the head-on collision, but I did.
 
You guys make me jealous but I don't have a car. Mine was stolen and I decided I didn't need it anymore I save a lot of money every month.

But I definitely have some badass guitars! :)
 
I just bought this on NYE. It's a 2025 Kia Telluride, SX X-line. It's my first brand new car I've ever bought.

It's replacing the black G37S in the background. I'm going to miss that car but it is not practical at all anymore with 2 kids and just not reliable with a bunch of little problems. It is a 2008 that I bought in 2012 and it's been paid off since 2016, so it's had a great run. I am hoping to get like $1500 for that car. I'm definitely going to miss it and it's been a fun car and I will miss having manual as well.

Yah my wife got her 2008 G35 first in late 2011 and then I drove it and was like "this would be really fun in manual" and started casually looking and ended up getting one in like spring of 2012 lol. It's been tons of fun but time to let it go. Like we can't even fit my family of 4 in it anymore since my 9 year old like doesn't even fit in the back seat anymore lol. And getting my 4 year in/out of the back is a pain in the ass with the slow moving seats I push forward, buckle him in, then slowly move them back so I can get in. And that's on top of all the other issues the car has.
 
Yeah, I understand. I had 2 GS 37s but went sedan instead of couple for that reason.

The only modifications I have made are changing out the stock vinyl seat (shown here) for a custom leather Corbin, taking off the big-ass aluminum stock exhaust for a shorty pipe for a throaty sound, and adding halogen running lights to the front.
