2024 Roster Updates

How is it possible to go 0-fer on first rounders. I mean that takes a special skill. It's even worse if you look at those six players and see only one of them even made an impact on their second team so it wasn't about fit or personalities or scheme... they couldn't contribute anywhere.

1st rd draft pick just last year and no one wanted him. It says a lot about the Rivera run. Glad we’re moving on and upwards.
I remember when people tried to defend the pick last year by admitting that Forbes was over-drafted, but that he was easily a second rounder.

Forbes turned out not even to be that. The fact that he couldn't break into this group of dbs cements it.

how many left on he team from 4 rr drafts?can,t be many.

Cosmi: Remember when Bizarro Rivera slipped through the dimensional barrier and made it to this Earth. I was picked by him. Bizarro Rivera was a hell of a coach and GM.

Someone check on Boone. Cutting his favorite player might cut him deep. :p

was superman an assistant?
No, but evil Spock was in charge of analytics.

Less than a year after he was fired we're already 90 percent of the way to having no Rivera fingerprints left on this roster.

It's been said over and over but can't be overstated just how abhorrently bad Rivera was at talent evaluation.

It almost makes you wonder how it's possible, if he had just thrown darts at a board of remaining players he would have done better, it's almost like he's Martin short from the movie pure luck, put him at a conference table with 50 chairs and one has a broken leg he'll pick the one with the bad leg every time and Nobody can explain how or why.

he was so bad,i wonder how the hell he took carolina to the sb?

It was amazing through the last years that the forum boards draft choices were far better than Ron's.

In fairness, I think Rivera deserves a chance at redemption. The man is so deeply respected around the league and such a solid football guy. With this in mind, when Mara fires Dabol, I think he needs to give Rivera the job. Hell, it's a two for one. They can let him run the draft too since he already has high end experience.

... and for the first time in NFL history, Ron Rivera drafts a long snapper with the number one overall pick in the draft. When asked why he said if Cheeseman was good then Wineman is can't miss. Plus, when you hit on a long snappe they last forever. Fourteen years. That's amazing bang for the draft buck.

Y'know, Forbes did all right for himself. That's more than enough money to live a good life and with his limited play he will suffer no debilitating life-long injuries like we see with some vets.

On the Washington side of the ledger, they must really have seen nothing in him if they were willing to swallow 12m for nothing.
