Time for a Cool Change

So - I'm sold. I am going to work on converting the current site burgundy over to the new burgundy (which if I've annoyed anyone the past 24 hours, this counts as payback because it's a major pain in the ass).
 
And for the back of the inevitable Varsity jacket. LOL

I'm still waiting to see the jacket the guys on Good Morning Football had on with the white sleeves. That was pretty sharp.

Until they turned around and showed the manhole cover emblem with the wrong fucking dates anyway.

Honestly, I've just had fun with it. It's nice to be involved and contribute a little, and you guys have all had such awesome ideas, it's been a fun exercise trying to draw them all together.
I've spent so much time writing lately, that it's nice to blow off some steam and get back to my roots in graphics a bit.

So thank, BGO brothers. :D You're all awesome!

On those jackets...

Personally, I prefer the white sleeves to the gold. The logo on the chest looks oversized to me. And the manhole cover on the back is just...boring.

The one thing that I kind of feel really meh about on this whole rebranding exercise, is the lack of a 'character' logo. The Redskin logo was just striking, distinct, and perfect. It was so easily recognisable.
It's one of the reasons I was pulling for RedWolves as I thought at least we might get a cool logo out of it.

Alas they spent millions coming up with a slightly different W... which as we've just proved, we could have come up with in about 10 minutes. And that includes a tea-break.
 



The white sleeved ones are the ones getting distributed to the fans
 
I think those jackets are ugly. I wouldn’t buy one if I could.

can you indulge me for a moment and add this camo to the BGO letters and make it a touch opaque to tone it down?

Okay guys, you've probably noticed the new burgundy. I have changed it in numerous places. I still have a few places to find. Just an fyi - it will always look brighter on BGO Black. If you flip to BGO Classic you'll see it appears darker. The first go round, we actually used a darker version on BGO Dark but it's really a pain in the ass to do it that way. I'd suggest we give it some time to adjust. I think it really pops with the brighter colors. Here is a mockup of the BGO Dark and BGO Classic styles with the latest logo version.

I don't think we need to change the gold all over the site. If you don't like the Commanders gold in small doses, you're going to hate it all over the site. I think the brighter burgundy and the existing gold look sharp and complement each other well.

Maybe it is just me, but I have always loved the gold currently on the site. It reminds me of the throwbacks the Skins occasionally have worn and I think especially considering the new direction of the franchise, it works really well as a subtle hat tip to the past (whether intended to be or not). 😊

Is this kind of what you were looking for, ST? I did two shades to try out. I think the darker one is better.

Feels like too much burgundy/red to me, unless we changed some of the other colors to contrast. Maybe white or gold stripes.
