imho I dont think EST is required in the main header logo, we can always add something to the bigger logo situations like the main page Logo or something with a bigger area to work with (like a flag... ahem :) )

With a team name, brand, and look that is fairly nebulous and vague, the ‘est’ is one of the primary elements that says ‘Commanders’ which is why I think so many of the ideas have included it. We can have a version with it and without and go with what the majority likes.

If it were up to me -we’d be using the exact DC flag and exact team colors :) Sadly I can no longer shove my preferences down peoples throats, lol.
 
I’m nominating Jon’s last one as a finalist and you guys can keep tweaking if you want another version on the potential list…

They're pretty damn close.. The Burgundy doesn't necessarily match the jersey, but it's damn close to the helmet
 
I think there’s debate if even all their burgundy’s match, right?

The team could have hired all of you guys and probably ended up with some super amazing logos, jerseys, and new uniforms for the new brand. I say that with complete honesty.

These final sketches look absolutely great and I would be more inclined to wear stuff with that logo, as opposed to filling The Danny's pockets at this point.

It speaks volumes when a group of people can come together, bounce ideas around, compromise, and create something as great as what transpired with the new BGO logo.

Well done, gentlemen.

The use of camo, stencil letters, dc flag background, established date, stars, all pulled from multiple submissions so even though the basic setup was my idea, definitely a group effort. No humble brag intended :)

I don’t know about jackets but we will definitely do some hats with the new logo - whenever that’s settled.

I've always really enjoyed the collab process. I'm not precious about my own ideas, I'm a firm believer that the process of collaboration makes things better in the long run. Well... most of the time.
A few years ago, my friend was in a Caterham 7 club (little homebuilt sports cars in case you wondered) and they wanted Jackets with a logo on the back. I drew the logo for them, and we sorted the Jackets. But of course, everyone wanted a different colour. Eventually my friend gave in to everyone and we ended up with a harlequin type monstrosity where every panel was a different color (Red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange...you name it.)
I've still got mine somewhere, if I ever find it I'll show you. Just remember to wear sunglasses!

I've spent the last couple of years working on my books with my 'book-wife', Nikki (she's my editor, but my wife calls her my book-wife) and my cover artist, Marlena. They both have awesome ideas and my books are all the better for it.

I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed playing with these logos the past couple of days. Sad as that may seem! LOL

Honestly, I reckon we could make some sweet varsity jackets too! I'm not enamoured by the ones the players were given at the new name launch. I reckon we could so a much better job.
Back when I was a kid, I used to have a Redskins varsity jacket. It had the burgundy felt body, The Redskins logo huge on the back, white leather sleeves with the Superbowl patches on them. I have no idea what happened to it. I keep an eye on ebay from time to time to see if I can find one just like it, but have never found one. :(

I think Om nailed it anyway, but here's the three colour variations.

The first is a lift of the RGD for the site colours. The secondis a little darker than the original Commanders colours. The third one should be the proper Commanders colours.
