Okay the salmon turned out pretty darn good as well.

Just realized the red plate doesn't let everything stand out like i wanted. It was great though and while both were good I think bag 1 was a tad better.

Yeah....so I just ate this. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.

A huge angus burger. Topped with maplewood bacon, cheese, onions and two fried eggs. And hash browns. And the bun? Oh that's no bun. That's a Krispy Kreme donut.

If anyone needs to reach me this weekend, I'll be in the hospital.

Char-grilled strip and homemade onion rings. Or as I like to call it...Wednesday night.
 
Gonna try a beef soup concoction today. Got burger, potatoes, carrots w/plenty of bullion cubes & seasoning to add. Contemplating adding white rice or not.
 
Gray day here in NC - would be a good soup day if I had the motivation!
 
Steaks and lobster tails on the grill with a garden salad tonight.
 
Okay fried the burger added potatoes, carrots, & rice.....then simmered an hr with curry, hot shot pepper, bullion cubes and soy mixed along with H2O for broth. Don't mean to brag but it was friggin outstanding!

Biscuits too that set in the bowl first to pour over it. Added a dash of Tapatio and I'm sitting here in a food coma.
 
You guys are putting me to shame. Warming up some frozen jambalaya in the crock pot :)
 
Lol, desperate times calls for desperate measures.

Speaking of crockpot cooking, someone could whip up some pulled pork this week and send me a sammich. Been craving it lately!
 
Nothing special last night, but something I love...breakfast for dinner. Fixed ton of bacon, eggs, and chocolate chip pancakes.
 
Ok, I understand what an old timer told me about his wife's cooking. He said there were some meals that he absolutely hated...very hard time stomaching them. He said he'd eat them anyway, acting like it was good, because he knew she'd worked hard to make it. Tonight, I was there. She tried, she baked some chicken breast smothered in honey mustard, with a couple pieces of bacon, covered with a piece of mozz cheese.

I love that woman, but...

Ribs and corn on the cob tonight.

Prepped the ribs KC-style last night, then applied a homemade rub and yellow mustard. In the fridge overnight. On the smoker with a little bit of apple and cherry wood for about 2.5 hours, then I'm going to douse with some apple juice/honey/brown sugar, and put them in foil in a 275 degree oven for another hour or so. Finally, will apply homemade BBQ sauce for the last 10 minutes.

Going with a giant pan of lasagna, garlic bread and house salad w/ranch dressing.
