Thinking about getting a camper

Happy hour starts in 5 minutes
Yeah, it was great! Heading out tomorrow for another trip too! After using this one, I don't think a popup would have made us as happy. Hybrids the way to go!
 
Packing up for another 3 day trip in the camper. Leaving in a little while for Oconee State Park, SC. This one has some nice fishing, boats and a pier to use. Also has a swimming beach and mini golf. One of our girls is bringing a friend too.

Dutch oven meals will be an Amish breakfast bake, cinammon buns, bangers and mash, and a rosemary chicken and taters.

Also doing a Boston butt BBQ to graze on and for lunches.

The FAM doesn't know it yet, but we are going to go to a square dance and lesson. Can't wait to embarrass them! LOL.
 
Just got home. Perfect weather, great park, all was wonderful! Next trip, James Island near Charleston SC.
 
We did a challenging but very nice Hike too, here is a pic from the trail. It was like this a lot but not exclusively. Lots of Terrain changes made it more fun.

Picture's showing fine ....looks like fun. My brother is surveying our Clan about our next family adventure...We did Playa Del Carmen, Mexico this year. Any suggestions for epic adventure spots are welcome :)

LOL! I'm not sure I can qualify any of our spots as "epic adventure!"

Tanzania...safari and climb Kilimanjoro. When the boy is 12 I am taking him!

Was supposed to be a gift to myself for graduation from FSU 5 years ago, but it didn't work out. My wife has no interest and I won't be able to do it in the near future so I am making a long term plan for me and the boy. I believe it is that once in a lifetime trip a boy would appreciate with his father. I also plan to take him to Normandy, France at some point on D-Day...
 
Just returned from an incredible long weekend in Charleston camping at James island state park. Saw a Reggae concert, hit 2 beaches, ate at our favorite Charleston restaurant, renewed a relationship with family who had started growing apart and got to christen my new fire pit grill in every which way. Oh, I can back up the camper confidently now! Lol
 
This weekend was out last Family camping trip for this season. The wife and I will be taking the camper to the Octoberfest near Helen GA next month without the kids though, then its winterizing time.

This weekend, we went to Oconochee State Park in southern VA. It was a great park and the site was a waterfront site, but the kids were a bit bored with no others there age this time.

I'm a little bummed because we broke a few things on the camper this trip too. Small things like latches and a the deadbolt on the door, but its a hassle.
 
Good point! After the next one I'm going to winterize it and later in the winter, take it in for a new upgraded awning and a once over all the seams with caulk. Also need to get the bearings packed.

And this is just a small camper! Lol
