Yes. It’s better than a crockpot. It almost works like a steamer. Some of the best pot roasts I’ve ever had were done on a Romertopf.

We used to have a Romertopf clay pot. You would soak it in water for 30-60 minutes and then fill it - we primarily used ours for roasts...
