Yeah. My wife loves 'See you in my dreams' but she can barely listen to 'One Minute You're Here...'. Her Dad passed away this year and she has really been emotionally fragile since then.
Big black train comin' down the track
Blow your whistle long and long
One minute you're here
Next minute you're gone
I lay my penny down on the rails
As the summer wind sings its last song
One minute you're here
Next minute you're gone...
Baby, baby, baby, I'm so alone.
Baby, baby, baby, I'm coming home...
Such a powerful song...and I thought it was a strange one to kick off the album with as the first track. One Minute You're Here and See You In Your Dreams create totally different feelings while listening on the same subject matter. One gives that somber feeling while Dreams is more uplifting and hopeful about what lies ahead. Goes to show what a genius Bruce is with his song writing.
