Official Game Thread - Redskins @ Panthers

Some good news: only a knee sprain for Hightower, his season will continue.

Sheesh. Anyone else watching Ponder looking good against the Pack? Sure would be nice if we had a youngin' on the roster we could look to the future hopefully with.

Ya, he's doing well so far. Must be nice.....

He's not looking that good. He threw two passes inside his own 10 yard line right to the DB. Lucky for him, both were dropped.

I've got the Dallass game - DeMarco Murray goes 90+ for a TD, and the Cowboys get pass-happy on their next drive. The only difference, it worked for them. Sigh.

Through his first 22 games with the Redskins, Mike Shanahan is 9-13. Jim Zorn was 10-12. FML.

Yes yes, supposedly going in a better direction, but we will see...

welll...we had our chances! ......being a Redskin fan one might as well tattoo a target on your forehead and paste a "hit me" sign onto the back!

I'm just saying if he can be manageable we may have enough players around him for us to have a playoff chance.

i'm sorry my friend but it aint happening. Beck is not the guy.

Lanky you sound like B Mitchell in the post game show.:)

I usually think he's full of it, but he's got me thinking.

Well that's just depressing, thanks Lanky. Difference is Zorn's teams started out hot, then faded as the season went on and teams figured them out.

Oh wait. That's not different, is it?

I think we are better positioned for the future than when Zorn was here that was win now tream this is a win in the future team being built that way but continuity is probably the main thing we cant have a change of coaches this offseason.

you're right. but at least he looks athletic out there. Rex doesn't even rate that.
Well he runs better than Rex, but he throws it worse. Truth is they both stink. I tried like hell to convince myself and others that Rex was going to be reborn this year and play well. Obviously I was wrong about that so far. I still would rather see Rex out there than Beck just b/c at least he will make it interesting and throw a long pass.

Well the good news is they say this is going to be one of the best QB draft classes in years. Skins need to catch a break in the draft this year and get their QB.

man...listen to us! only 6 games into the season!

well...I'll start tracking on the collegiate QBs you recommended so I can feel better about the futre!

Well I still like most of what Shanny and co have done so far as far as building the team. we just really need a good young QB that we can continue to build around. Look at how bad Carolina was last year, and you can already see how good they are going to be with Cam.

With either we QB they make the probabiblity of losing higher.

Yep. Thing is, most of these QBs are able to come right in and start sooner rather than later. Ponder looks good today, Dalton, Gabbert and Cam have looked solid all year. We need to draft our guy, then keep filling in the holes around him.

Now that the competitive portion of the season is over, will we see more of the young guys inserted into the line up on offense or are we going to see more guys like Stallworth and Gaffney's over the Austin's and Hankerson's of the squad?

I picked him up this last week. Takes the sting out of the Burress drop... :)
