It'd actually be nice if he made it as he was one of the few positive camp stories. Ultimately, I think he ends up on the practice squad. I don't think he was impressive enough that anyone would steal him unless he showed out during one of the intrasquad scrimmages.

He has the physical tools to be a great player. He already is really good on ST. I'd be really surprised if he didn't make the roster.

I don't think they're going to want to cut 2 of 5 draft picks. But eh, you never know.

I think for now Gublin is safe because there just aren't a lot of other OL you want to keep. I think they will cut JGG and get him to the practice squad.

Coleman, Paul, Allegretti, Cosmi, Conerly, Wylie are the 6 locks. I haven't heard anything about Trent Scott, but I assume he's #7. If you want to carry 9, it's easy to keep Gublin as a backup C/G, and then one other guy. At least 1 OL is always inactive on gameday. You typically have your 5 starters, swing Tackle and Swing Guard + backup center active. That's 8 active. Which means they can keep Gublin and inactivate him.

Teams used to keep 10 OL. But 9 is not more in vogue.

I also don't think they're going to cut AK with Mariota's injury. I think they keep him on the active 53. He might be the week 1 backup. They should cut and not sign to the PS Hartman.

It’d be indicting yourself to cut 2/5 draft picks but, at the end of the day, someone like Gulbin has an upside case of Allegretti. The league is littered with unathletic linemen like him. Every team also has their own AK. If he gets picked up, let’s go snag Driskell.

Given the numbers game you are pointing out, there’d be space for one guy. We probably could use two legit interior OL backups to better ensure we are adequately covered at center. At the end of the day, give me Andrews, Van Pran and the Lions guy who won a Rimington over Gulbin. Regarding the latter, this year is year 2 for him so we can steal him and put him on our PS as a non vet
