I’ve been tapping a lot of blame on AP. If it comes out the Harris group handcuffed him I’ll not be happy. But even if they did that doesn’t absolve his drafts.

After hearing the reports about that scrimmage with the Ravens I will change my vote to Resignation. I am resigned to the idea that this season is lost before it even started and I blame AP, who I was a big fan of. But you can't go into a season with a question mark at center with NO backup on the entire roster and a poor left guard. Coleman showed last camp that he could not beat out a bad LG and I didn't understand how that was expected to change. Reports are Connerly has struggle the entire camp and he can't miss on this pick too. The plan was a failed plan from the beginning and his drafts have pretty much sucked.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the state of the line and having a bad joint practice against a very good Ravens defense; it's worrying. I'm not going to say the entire season is over before we've even played a single snap though.

Let's revisit in early October and see where things are.

I'm a big supporter of AP also but this is his third year and if our line is in the shambles that's his fault

I’m at the point where I expect a poor season, but I need to see Jayden play well enough and survive it anyways. He can’t be average and injured all the time when things aren’t ideal. He needs to exit this season having confirmed he’s the franchise even if he needs new coaches, teammates, and decision-makers. Half the stink around him is the fact that the few games he was “healthy”, he didn’t look like he did his rookie year. He needs to shake that perception even if we suck, or we’ve ruined another QB prospect and our HC options will be severely limited. I expect him to drag even a poor team to 8 wins, or we have even bigger problems than we thought. That’s what this year will be about if we’re bad, for me.

I think true panic will be a question to revisit after the results of Week 1.

We don’t need to win that game but if we lose and look like complete ass in the process that’s a real problem.

On the other hand if we go into Philly and pull out a win (any kind of win honestly) that would go a long way to easing my fears for the season.

To panic means you had belief that it was going to be a great year to begin with. No panic here. But unless we do something quick on the OL it’s going to be a long year.

I think we are fucked up to be honest with you. Offensive line is the foundation, and ours is weak and thin

My issue with the Connerly reports is I don’t believe our assistants are good. So we either have pro bowl older players (Tunsil) or forget it. I just don’t think we have many truly good position coaches (maybe two?).

And that was supposed to be a major selling point of Quinn, his relationships. Didn’t pan out, and then he flushed his coordinators, and then we had to settle for scraps and in-house promotions at position coaching and assistant position coaching spots, because all of a sudden the job security feels weak.

We won't (and shouldn't) be favored in our first 3 games. It's quite possible we start 0-3. That doesn't mean they can't turn it around, but I'm mentally preparing myself for a very rough start with brand new coordinators and schemes on both sides of the ball. Even if we hadn't had OL injuries, I think the early schedule would make it very tough.

Totally agree with this. If Jayden remains healthy and plays great I'm good no matter what the record is. Because that will determine our future far more than anything else. The rest can be changed out, even including the GM, but a franchise QB sets you up for years.

I selected panic mode because the OL as it stands now is gonna get Daniel’s killed
This is not an arguable statement!

It may be able to change with healthy Allegretti return or the addition of a legit vet. Honestly, the legit vet route is the best avenue but don't get why that road wasn't traveled a week or two ago at a minimum

The “vibes” are definitely off for this team. All the prognostications from the national pundits a few weeks back about Washington being a bottom 5 team, and having the worst O-Line in the league are now mostly accepted as fact by the majority of the fanbase after seeing that Lions game and the disastrous scrimmage with the Ravens yesterday.

I don’t think I’ve been more disappointed in a training camp/preseason than I am with this one. Before training camp, i could’ve been convinced to believe that this team could win 9 games, if everything went right, but now I’m really struggling to see how they even get to 6 wins. It’s almost a stone cold lock that they will start 0-3. My only two wishes at the start of the season are for the QB to not get killed in the opener, and that we at least look competitive in our 0-3 start. If we lose by less than 10 points in each of our first three games, maybe we can imagine a scenario that this team might get to 8 wins or so after our brutal start.

I am kind of sad because I wake up every morning looking forward with optimism and was hoping that we would turn the corner this year. Seems like my hopes are down and have been tainted

What a difference a few days can make.

First day of free agency. Peters didn't sign anyone? What's he waiting for? Oh my god, he's satisfied with the same crap. We're doomed!
Second day of free agency. Another one! OMG, we got __________, ___________, and __________________? All we need is a receiver and we are set!
First OTA's. I have never seen a worse group of receivers in my life. We are going to waste JD5. I am forever done with this team.
Diggs signs. Holy shit! We have eight receivers who deserve to be on an NFL roster!!! We can't keep them all! We're going to be so doomed.
Miami intersquad. We dominated. It's just Miami but we wrecked these guys.
Detroit: We only lost two of our starting five o linemen and we look terrible. We have totally neglected the oline. I have screaming about the o line all year! We are doomed! I have never seen such a crappy team. This is an abomination. We need to fire everyone.
Baltimore Intrasquad practice. Don't tell me our D picked them off 5 times. We looked terrible outclassed. The season is over. Over. OVER! It's never been this bad!
First snap of the season. 3 weeks away.

Breathe.

We haven't seen the offense yet. We haven't seen the defense yet. We need a center. A center will stabilize almost everything. Personally, I'd like us to scour the waiver wire and maybe even see if we can do some depth player trades to bolster our o line depth. Allegretti will probably help a lot if/when he comes back, but we do need more.

Things I like about this team:

QB: I like Daniels and I like Athan
RB: I like our running back room. Bill, White, and Allen sound better than solid to me. Put Henry and McNichols on the practice squad
WR: Terry, Diggs, Williams, Burks, McCaffrey, and Dyami is a pretty darn deep set with multiple skill sets. Lane (based on preseason and practice reports may have fixed his hands problem. We'll see.)
TE: Chig and Yankoff seem fine as receiving TEs. Bates looks like he is rusty. Sinnott being hurt doesn't help his case. But again, I like our TE group.
OL: I like Coleman and I like Cosmi. (Oh come on, I can't like everything!)

PR/KR/K/P I feel good about special teams

DLine. I like our edge rushers.
Linebacker. I haven't felt this good about our linebackers and depth in a long time.
Defensive backs. I don't know about this group. Feels weak, but Sainristil and Quan seem to be wracking up those ints anyway.

Overall. Yeah, the worry about center dominates and a bad oline means nothing on offense will be easy and maybe nothing will work, but one player can salvage this group. It's eerily like the Diggs situation. Give us one solid center and suddenly the oline group looks pretty good. Fingers crossed we can find one.
