Super clown-ish to wait this long. Make Logan Paulsen interim TE coach at this point
This is a bit of a rash assumption. We don't know when the team knew what. I would bet that early information came from the coach himself and he likely wasn't completely forth coming.

The story here is that a coach got embroiled in avoidable off-season drama that includes use of force against law enforcement and the team parted company with the coach.

This should be viewed as a positive. Not derided as "clown-ish".

The arrest occurred June 7th, and he was placed on leave for mandatory minicamp which was a few days later. Nicki’s tweet says he informed the team of the arrest, so it doesn’t sound like it was long at all before he told them.

I said "wasn't completely forth coming".

There is a difference in reporting that he got picked up for a DUI and mentioning that he resisted arrest in the process.

The article I read mentions that he was let go for a violation of team policy. I've been involved in the termination of more than one employee for a violation of "corporate" policy. Never once has the termination happened immediately after the incident. There was always a process that involved lawyers and investigations, and the termination only took place once the company was sure they wouldn't lose a wrongful termination suite in court.

I don't think I knew how local a guy Daronte Jones was? Grew up wearing Ricky Sanders' 83 while going to elementary school in Landover stayed in Maryland through high school. Returned to Bowie State for his first significant coaching job. I didn't love this profile Youtube, I think Daronte did it as a favor to a guy who used to run the announcements at Bowie State, but it's got some good info.

Does the Commanders Next Man Up video series require those that appear to say ‘man’ as many times as possible during recording?

Is that some next-level marketing strategy, man?

You know, man, I’m not sure it is, man.

Know what I mean, man?

Riggo's daughter makin fun of Dad's old videos.
Did the math, and Riggo had her when he was about 56, I think

56 huh? As a 57-year-old I’d like to state that that is in fact possible. At least that’s what I’m claiming…

Surprised. Because of Tunsil?

Well, yeah. You’re going to have to jack up that line to get anybody to place a bet on us right after losing Tunsil. +7500 doesn’t even seem like good value right now. I think I’d need it to be +75000.

But I guess Simone Love based on her comments will be all over that 75 to 1… hope she holds onto those “receipts“

Simone is all in now that they signed diggs

Looks like Begas thinks the Giants have a better shot upsetting Dallas than Washington does versus the Eagles -- I think they are wrong, will see.

The Seahawks were +6000 odds to win Super Bowl LX. They tied for the 21st-best odds across the league.

I really need to dust off the "Vegas is rarely actually right" post I did a few months ago.

Mostly because there goal isn't to be right. It's to entice equal betting on both sides of the bet so they win no matter what. It's more psychological than analytical.

Not aimed at you SIP. I'm just saying, everybody who uses Vegas odds/lines/whatever for any type of analysis is using an extremely flawed metric. It's the #1 thing which has me soured on Warren "mustachio" Sharpe. He leans into the gambling and lines a lot, and he really should know better. If he did a statistical analysis on how right Vegas was, he'd come away saying the Vegas people don't know jack diddly poo.

Betting the SB winner before the season even starts is one of the dumbest bets you can make though. Anything can happen in 20 games. 1 injury can derail the entire season.

I’m putting $100 on the commanders to win the NFC championship. If it hits, it pays for a SB trip. :)

Took the fam for a long weekend in Clearwater FL. Waiting on a table at a restaurant and a guy about my age but needing a cane comes past on his way out. He has a Skins cap on. Definitely a well worn/loved cap. I said “Love that Cap, Sir. HTTR!” He smiled kind of melancholy and said “I just wished I had more like it.” A man in his late 20s or so which I took to be his son, says “that is very precious to him.” I feel like there is a story to that particular cap, but I didn’t press on what it might be.

Only certain people will ever understand and we grow fewer each year.
