Random Commanders Thoughts

The amount of negativity is not staggering because Washington finished 5-12 last year, and that's the last impression anybody has. They also flipped both coordinators to inexperienced coordinators, and as much as NFL people (and by that I mean people who work in the NFL, players, coaches, executives, etc.) like Quinn, the media just sees the largest blown lead in SB history, an average record, and a backwards hat. They don't see a football genius. (And, they're right. He's not. )

It doesn't mean anything. But it's not remotely shocking to me.

It is to me because of Jayden, when you got a great QB, its tough to suck

29th seems a little harsh. But not a lot of players on our team would start for many other teams in the league.

I'd say we're 25 to 27.
Ok, I'll play along.

Starters (this is more than 53 because of rotational players who might/might not start but will play meaningful snaps)
QB: Daniels
RB: Bill, White
TE: Chig, Bates
WR: McLaurin, Diggs, Williams
LT: Tunsil, Coleman (Tunsil counts, he's signed long term but currently injured
LG: Paul
C: Allegretti
RG: Cosmi
RT: Conerly

DL: Payne, Kinlaw, Settle,
OLB: Oweh, Chaisson,
LB: Styles, Luvu
CB: Amos, Sainristil, Douglas, Robertson
S: Cross, Harris

I count ... 2-3 who might not start somewhere else. How many do you have? Keep in mind, we signed a number of these guys who were starting somewhere else before they signed with us.

Jayden was hurt all of last year. And a story line in the draft was "can Jayden stay healthy." And when he didn't for an entire season that "confirmed" the narrative to some.

We were 5-12. QB was hurt. Quinn is meh.

Ergo, we suck until we don't.

Nothing is less surprising than that national media storyline

EDIT: I edited my post because I read your post wrong. I do understand what you're saying.

Jamin Davis and Cole Holcomb are bother LBs for the Steelers playing tonight.... weird

Redskins division related. Not worried about the giants at all. Told yall Dart cannot stay healthy. Hes more brittle than Jd. Already got sent to the med tent today.

Also already have seen word coming out of Giants-land that the offensive staff there is trying to turn Dart into what he’s not rather than leaning into what makes him…whatever he is. Classic second staff issues with many drafted QB’s, and while Harbaugh likes Dart he’s not the dude directly coaching him every day. The hype on that team will implode even if their floor will be higher imo

Time to trade Hartman to the Giants for their 2027 first round pick.

That’s probably optimistic.

However, KDawg has stated in the past he might be worth a slab of salami. So that’s the floor, although it still seems a bit optimistic to me.

Maybe we could trade him for a wig? Would need to fit the Greek, but if that’s what it takes to keep the fan club happy….

Why is everyone laughing? Am I asking too little?

The downside of the Mariota injury is that it probably means we need to keep three QBs on the opening day roster. I was kinda hoping we'd be able to get away with Daniels and Mariota with Athan K. on the practice squad.

Good news overall though if they expect Mariota back by September though.

What the hell does that have to do with being a Redskins fan damnit man 🤣

Frustration always has to do with being a Redskins’ fan.

The more I think about it, the more I don't think they're going to do that. They drafted AK. There is clearly a desire for him to take over as the backup sooner rather than later, otherwise they wouldn't have spent one of only 5 draft picks on him.

If he can't beat out Hartman, I think we carry 2.

If he does beat out Hartman, I think we carry 3. Which I think is going to be VERY bad for 1 of Van Jefferson, Burks and Diyami Brown. I have been thinking they might try and keep 7 WRs. But that was predicated on keeping 2 QBs. If they keep 3, then one more of those 3 has to slide to the PS.

IF the Greek can have a couple more games like this one except going against 2’s they may be forced to keep him on the 53.

I heard you got to watch out for those Greek dudes
