I love the receiving weapon Chig brings to our offense, something we lacked last year.

I don't rely on Burks becoming anything but really hoping he can prove itself big and stay healthy in the preseason. Luke is the guy we really need to shine I think along with WIlliams of course

Van Jefferson is a guy that at first look won't make the team but I could totally see him making the team and being a decent contributor in different roles.

Van Jefferson seems to in theory be a good fit for Jayden's style -- he likes those crisp route runners who are where they are supposed to be. That's not Burks rep. Burks is more of a physical contested catch guy.

Oddly, Ertz seems to in theory fit Jayden better than Chig. Chig is a better version of what Sinnott does stylistically. But Chig also brings something this team lacks, a dude who can take a short pass in the flat and make a big play out of it.

It's part of the same reason why Rachaad White IMO isn't Treveyon Henderson. Henderson can take it to the house, but that's not White's gig.

Overall is it fair when most national types peg this as one of the worst supporting casts on offense in the NFL? Yeah easily. And if this was Heinicke or name that jag at QB, we'd be screwed. But while I hate that Jayden has to shoulder this more than his colleagues from that draft, I do think he's capable of it.

Jayden running is key IMO. If nobody is open, run. That was a lot of what worked in 2024.

Having someone give you a hard time about another player's drama is a total trap. Just laughing it off and not even making it a thing was perfect...definitely glad he didn't "turn his savage up".

I'd also love to know who unfollowed who first.

I think if Burks can become a reliable chain mover/possession type that's all we need from him. We can look for dynamic plays from Terry, Lane, Dyami, and Chig. White, Burks, and Williams role will be to get open and keep the drive going.

Yes, if he can separate better, stay healthy and earn Jaydens trust. Right now Terry, and Jefferson are good separators and we believe Williams can as well based on his route running abilities

If those wind up being the three I'm fine with them. I hope it winds up being Burks because he has a bit more upside and he's a big body which makes him a different type. From everything I'm hearing though, Terry is WR 1, Williams is WR3, and WR 2 is a committee.

I don't hate that. I do worry it might make coverages a little more predictable if you know 2a always runs curls, 2b always runs crosses, and 2c always runs clear outs and go routes.

I don’t think that’s a likely way a committee WR2 would play out, even as unideal as the situation is. If it does, we’re probably lost anyways

One thing I’ll say for Jayden, he’s always smiling. That sense of humor and positive attitude is part of how he stays calm under pressure. It’s one of his biggest strengths.

You would think his buddy Aiyuk would understand that, but evidently not.

When do we reach the point where the team should release a statement about how we have no interest in aiyuk because if we aren't there yet we better be close.

This type of nonsensical and pointless distraction is the shit we put up with for too long under snyder.

Aiyuk was a nice potential option for a while but now its time to distance ourselves.

This is the biggest blessing in disguise we could have hoped for, since it shows that it was only a matter of time before Aiyuk melted down in Washington. He is going to melt down no matter where he lands (if he lands anywhere at all at this point). If there was still a possibility of AP signing him, I think this latest stuff probably ends that thought experiment. Let some other Front Office talk themselves into signing this idiot.
