The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 2

Honestly, it's good to hear. I want to hear excitement about our picks. I want to hear analysis.

I'm not going to pretend I'm as excited as SIP on this one. But I see the value and regardless of what # receiver he was at Clemson... he's a pure slot and right now, before even flying to DC, is the best slot on our roster. The bar is low, but he will get open and make plays. I have some concerns with size and durability. Love his route tree and he's another return guy. And he finds zones.

I'm not crazy about his change of direction, but he is savvy and finds holes in zones. Could have been much worse and we got Jayden help. Hard to be too upset at this one, imo, even if it's not my favorite selection. It's a good one for the team.

I'd trade up right now and grab an outside receiver. I'm not kidding. I'd grab Sarratt, Hurst, Chris Bell. They won't. They need a corner, too. And center. So we need our picks. But grabbing another receiver for the outside makes our shotgun receiver approach at minimum have another slug in the chamber.

What picks would you trade?

For all the Aiyuk talk, apparently there was a weird IG post and he looked odd and out of shape, or something.

We know nothing about his physical shape or mental health. He hasn’t played since 2024.

We can take shots at Peters for not doing enough at WR.

But I don’t think he’s stupid enough to put any eggs in that basket.

If he gets here and produces, fine. But I don’t think they are counting on that.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Jennings signed soon, or another vet who can play outside.

Not 2027. Anything from this year is in play. We probably don't have the ammo. But I'd be trying.

But again, we need the picks we have to help plug more holes.

But without a 4th round pick how do you get there?

Especially if you dont want to give up capital next year.

I suspect that Peters decided to switch it up. With McCaffrey and Lane, he went for measureables and hoped the receiver could be coached up. This time, it sounds like what he really wanted was a polished guy that will be where he's supposed to be. I wonder if they envision Burks as the 2 like they did Noah? Otherwise, it feels like they are banking on Aiyuk which frankly scares me.

But we got ourselves a receiver so that's a start.

That’s what I was thinking also. Cupboard is pretty bare.

Probably can't. But I'd be trying like hell.

And... I'm going to upset some...

I'd shop Payne and at least see what is out there. May not take it. But I'd see.

Too bad we don’t have Biadasz, we could trade him.

;)

I’d stay, pick, and sign Jennings. The league thinks he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

But he’s probably better and more pro ready to start day 1 than anybody we will pick from here on out.

And I’d overpay a little bit (they have cap room) and irritate everybody and try and do it for one year. 2 max.

Will they do that? I dunno.

But that’s what I would do.

Way to pick at that scab!

Porque no los dos?

I would trade up for Scott or Hurst/Sarratt. Just do it
