The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 2

I don’t know the first thing about him, but his highlights look good. There will be good competition at WR at least.

Well, unlike McCaffrey he has played wide receiver ALL of this college career and unlike Lane he runs better routes, which is what kept Lane off the field in 2025.

I still remember when Keim said during the season the coaches just didn't trust that Lane was going to run the right routes and be in the right place for the quarterback.

The last time they took a Wr in the third that I loved, I didn't have much love aside from myself on the dude on the board, was Terry.

I've been beating this drum, him and Bernard for months.

If people want someone aside from me, touting this guy, McShay loves him too. Thinks he can be an 80 catch slot WR right from the jump.

I like Williams but really didn’t think we’d take him over other available guys because he feels more like a slot. Shorter area moves. Thought we’d prefer more of a vertical, larger threat.

So…McCaffrey and Lane can just get fucked then? What are we doing. I really don’t see either of them as potential answers outside but I could have seen one of them developing into a slot threat

He’s going to get every opportunity to prove that!

SIP what do you like so much about him? Hope you're right because I'm underwhelmed. Was hoping for Brazzell or Sarratt. Feel like we needed an outside guy more than a slot.

giants coming back in, probably a WR

So does McAffrey move to the outside? Or are we rolling with Van or Dyami?

Williams good in the slot, but who the heck is our Z?

You’ve been saying his name for a while now… props

JP Acosta

No. 71, Washington Commanders: Antonio Williams, WR, Clemson

This is fascinating to me, especially considering the Commanders potential offensive shift this season. Williams is a slot only, but he's tough after the catch and can create separation in the short area. Jet motion him into cool shit
The fact they took Williams over an outside receiver leads me to believe they know they are definitely getting Aiyuk.
