The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 2

Texans decided they could out-do the Jags TE reach. Congrats Houston, you win.

Not sure if this was meant as hyperbole, but I certainly would not take Cody White or Mario Williams over LMC.
McCaffrey has proven he can return kicks, nothing more in the larger scheme after 2 years.

It's great that you have receivers who can play on special teams, but in order to win we need receivers who actually get on the field and catch passes in enough of a volume to help take some of the pressure off the #1 guy.

No one on this team has stepped up to indicate he is even close to being that guy.

Current Brugler Top 10:

McCoy, CB, Tennessee
Bell, WR, Louisville
Hill, LB, Texas
Scott, S, Miami
Crawford, ED, Auburn
Pregnon, G, Oregon
Fields, WR, Notre Dame
Williams, WR, Clemson
Dennis-Sutton, ED, Penn State
Abney, CB, AZ St

Personally I have eyeballs on Bell, Scott, Pregnon, Slaughter, Igbinosun, Sarratt, Haulcy, Hurst, Branch

Ok what have the bottom of the roster WR for Seattle and LA done (as was the comparison in question)? I see undrafted receivers who play special teams and have fewer receptions between them than Luke.

That's a good thing for us - no need for a LB.

Chris Brazzell anyone? He is still there I think.

6’ 4” 200 with 4.4 speed. Could be that Z receiver for us.

Ok, I was being a bit hyperbolic. But at the same time I don't see former #3 round picks taking those roles either.

McCaffrey was drafted in the top 100 and to have him entering Year 3 as a guy who still hasn't established that he is a top 3-4 for us to me is a bit of a wasted pick.

A lot of clubs get return guys late in the draft - former track guys or wide receivers who play at small schools and are not refined in technique but run a 4.3 and can make plays in the open field on returns.

The fact we seemed to have repeated the move with Lane in 2025 is just cause for another breath before these picks.

Are people saying McCoy needs another surgery before he can play? Or just that he's at risk of future injury?

Rumor is he has major character red flags.

EDIT: Also note a guy who covers the Vols says those concerns are bullshit.
