I do think there are some impact receivers that could be available. But it’s just too hard to project.

Yeah the big guys he wants all have questions about separation ability, which is a huge red flag for me as I think about receivers

Again, IMO there will be a WR between #71 and the end of Round 7 that comes in and contributes in 2026.

I don't know which guy it will be but every year you see a guy taken in Round 5 or 6 that comes in and surprises people by being a bit quicker on the field than he showed in the Combine 40 or is able to separate using route running skills that were underestimated coming out of college.

Romeo Doubs was a fourth round draft choice and the Patriots gave him $97M.

Puka Nakua was taken in the fifth round by the Rams.

One of the guys out there in free agency that Washington may end up interested in, Jajuan Jennings, was drafted in Round 7 by the 49ers.

You don't need a #1 pick to get a productive WR.

You need the right board put together by the right scouts.

I feel a little sorry for Magee. Everyone keeps saying how much they like him, but it feels like he is always behind someone. I wonder if he never really gets his chance. With Leo, Sonny, and Luvu as the primary three, I think Magee is back on the bench.

I would personally go BPA especially at 71.

But going through the names likely landing at that spot -- I doubt they see them as reaches. IMO there is a whole tier of WRs that are somewhat in that range and I think deserve to be in that range.

I think good shot WR, if its another spot I'd guess corner.

That very well may be the case, but I coild also see Safety or Edge given the depth at those spots

magee was more a product of constantly getting injured. sinnott was just not getting playing time or not being used when he did get playing time - for whatever reason.

So we should bet the farm that we’ll be fortunate enough to get the 1 guy out of the 20 receivers who go between #71 thru rd 7 who may meaningfully contribute in 2026?

I think Magee is our version of Micah McFadden who plays for the Giants. Same round, similar type of player, injury history.

Micah is going to be their LB3 this year

The issue is, even if he figures it out, you have him under control for just this year and AP has shown he loves to go dumpster diving for safeties rather than pay them.

On Quan, Ron used him in the box a lot as a rookie and he shined doing that. DQ has used him a bit more as a post safety and he has sucked in that role.

It’s also fair to venture that his confidence is not particularly high currently. I think Dotson had similar issues here after his rookie year

it's kind of weird that people were like:

"c'mon commanders do something. sign chig or another TE. we can't go into the season with just sinnott and yankoff."

the team signs someone.

"ugh I knew it. sinnott isn't in their plans."

it's almost like people were going to criticize no matter what happens - either for not getting another TE or, when they got one, to criticize for sinnott failing.

In terms of the WR’s, I don’t mind one at 71, and obviously, 3rd round receivers are sometimes super productive(see Terry McLaurin). But I don’t want to roll the dice at giving Jayden an adequate supporting cast.

If we take one at 71, I still want to sign or trade for a predictable veteran WR, even if we also sign Aiyuk. Let them fight it out and make some cuts.

Also, if there is a better player in the secondary, at center, at TE, etc, then why forgo a higher graded player instead of taking them and making a move for a vet WR, since there are some available.

If we just take a receiver at 71, and sign Aiyuk, that feels a lot like Peters leaning into his pattern of not putting together enough weapons for Jayden.
