I am really curious to see what he runs in his proday. But in that third round range, very interested. Also Antonio Williams and Bernard if they fall to that round.

There is far more uncertainty in the top group than many recent drafts. I am not going to allow myself to get too attached to one player. This may be too late for that with some :ROFLMAO:

I'm going to be an optimist. I'm going to guess that the team comes together and is so brilliant that it makes sense for the front office to keep it together for one more year. It could happen, but for it to happen, Terry is going to have to defy Father Time and have the year of his career and the rest of the team is going to have to follow suit. If that happens then the front office will figure something out.

My (optimistic take) is that there's only a 20% chance it happens, but I can imagine a world where 2024 happens again except with a pretty good defense.

It really comes down to can JD stay healthy for an entire season. Even last year they were 3-2 early in the year, JD missed the Falcons loss, and should have been 4-2 beating the Bears but they lost then JD gets injured for the 2nd time and the season was over.

Get the best player in the 1st round, doesn't have to be a WR or a RB just be RIGHT, and if JD plays a full season the team will improve, if not then everybody will blame AP and Quinn again even though we're going nowhere without the franchise QB playing like he proved that he could in 24.

This. I’ve resigned myself to not getting Love. I think there is a very high probability we get Tate. Not my favorite outcome, but I’m ok with it.

Don’t really want Downs at this point, or even Reese, who I think is more of a projection. I’d rather have Styles. At lease he has a clear position, ideal size and athleticism, and seems to have a professional demeanor.

I still can’t help but wonder how they’d feel about Bain. We are pretty flush at edge. Miami’s pro day is on Monday. I hope Bain doesn’t skip the athletic testing.
 
You’re banking on Bain to break the mold of short armed DE’s being elite at the next level which hasn’t happened…ever. No power DEs under 31 have even made a pro bowl. And then he didn’t test fully at the combine, so really unsure of just how athletically gifted he is. If he’s a freak like Aaron Donald, then maybe but even then he’s being drafted at DE, not DT. Arm length matters considerably at DE and offensive tackle. Just too many question marks. I just don’t think we should gamble on that. Most NFL offensive tackles are 34’ minimum and they’re grown men, not Johnny come lately at Wake Forest. Any successful edge with short arms similar..like a Melvin Ingram for example played lighter and faster than Bain, had about 30 less lbs on the frame.

Did Bain face any projected first round tackles this season? Honest question.
 
Also why isn’t there more smoke about the Titans drafting Tate? WRs are more valuable than RBs in this era. Cam needs a weapon at WR badly.
 
Also, in addition to Miami on Monday, Ohio State’s pro day is next Thursday. Should be a fun week. I can’t believe one school has 4 prospects that we might consider for pick 7.

I’ll say this again: how many people with Bain’s arm length have made it to this point in the process. Doesn’t that, in at least one way, already make him an outlier?

Hopefully the Titans have somebody like Ron Rivera there, so they can just randomly pick some 2nd rounder and make him a 1st rounder.

March 24- Notre Dame

March 25- Ohio State

Not enough of an outlier to warrant a top 10 pick imo. And it is a red flag he didn’t test fully at the combine. You’re betting against decades of statistics and performance. No thanks. And I’ll say this again, our roster as currently constructed needs to play it more safe than betting against years and years of data telling you not to. I’d be interested in knowing how many tackles Bain faced with 34’ + arm length like he will see every week in the NFL.

And to your other point, since when did just “good” WRs warrant a top 10 pick? 😉

And yes Love is elite, that is something we can agree upon.

1. That’s why I am not saying we should draft Bain. But someone should. Early.

2. When the “good” receiver is better than the other options.
