I see a world where right now the team wouldn't take Tate or Love in that scenario
Through much of the board conversation Tate is being considered WR1. I am certain there will be teams that see Tyson or perhaps Lemon as WR1. There is an outside shot one of these guys goes before Tate. I do see both mocked that way occasionally

Tyson, if the medical check out, has a very high chance of being the first receiver selected. Maybe by us.

If AP has decided that Tyson or Lemon is the WR1 (or has them as equals to Tate)… he can count on either one of those guys being there for him at seven. So maybe this explains the lack of urgency at receiver.
That's how I see that.
I like Tyson more and it sounds like some other teams do. AP did speak on being more cautious regarding prior injury history so it will be wait and see on that

I wouldn’t touch Tyson. He’s not just an ACL. It’s that and the soft tissue injuries. Still couldn’t work out at the combine because of a hamstring. It’s asking for trouble. I’d almost rather have Jermod McCoy, except we haven’t seen him back on the field yet.

There is a non-zero chance we like Lemon out of the slot and build a WR corps of Terry- burner (Dyami) - great slot - Chig instead if the more standard Terry - great #2 outside - meh slot, Chig build.
Not my preference and I have heard nothing to back it, but its an alternative good way to build a unit if you don't trust Tate/Tyson.

I actually think that Aiyuk and Terry outside, Okonkwo at TE and Lemon in the slot would be pretty great this year. It just leaves no young outside receivers.

Outside WRs Terry, Aiyuk, TE Okonkwo, slot WRs Lane/Brown/Van Jefferson and Love at RB would be a force. I guess I'd take our current slots and Love over Lemon but if we signed Lemon if Tate and Love were taken, that'd be cool too.

I don't think that I've seen a draft with so many varied opinions. Some think that Downs is a top 3 player in the draft, some don't think that he's anything special at all and way down the list. The same goes for Bain, Bailey, and Reese. The receivers are all over the place. I've seen Freeling leapfrog everyone on the O-line. It's just crazy
I think Lemon is a pure slot and he's only 5'11. I would really like to see a taller receiver. Lemon does have the productivity though. If Tate is gone he will probably be available. No injuries is preferred

Just saw this. Interesting for us to use a top 30 visit on him.
Seems like more of a gadget guy?
A lot of top-30 visits end up going to surprising dudes bc they’re prospects you weren’t able to get enough information on in other parts of the process.
Late round types are definitely worth keeping an eye on when they pop up as top-30 visit names, though. We brought in JCM for one last year.
Bailey and Reese are getting fairrly consensus love. Every draft you will have some outlier critics
Freeling because is a natural LT and is shown to be a good athlete have leapfogged the guards-maybe RT prospects especiakky with it being a need for the Browns.
Downs gets a lot of love but he seems most often 7-12 in recent mocks. Hasn't helped him that he skipped the combine, will see what happens in his proday
WR rankings most consistent, almost everyone has Tate #1, some have it as Lemon, an occasional outlier has Tyson.

When it comes to arm length, 99% of NFL edge defenders fall somewhere between Bain and Garrett, but the data shows fairly evenly dispersed results across a variety of measurements.
If anything, those in the 31-32 inch category fared best. This group is highlighted by Trey Hendrickson and Micah Parsons — the former was a relatively overlooked 103rd overall draft pick, and the latter was an athletic freak initially pegged to play off-ball linebacker.
However, when you dip below 31 inches, things start to look much more bleak. Kyle Van Noy is the only proven success story among this group. Of the 64 sacks these short-armed edge defenders have recorded in the PFF era, Van Noy accounts for over half of them. It’s worth noting that Van Noy’s arms measured almost a full inch longer than Rueben Bain’s.
The remainder of this group hardly inspires confidence. The only other sub-31-inch edge defenders to even see 500 career pass-rush snaps in the PFF era are Genard Avery and Matt Longacre. If Bain were to move inside, he’d be compared to a similarly unremarkable group headlined by players like Dean Lowry and Calijah Kancey.
This is truly uncharted territory for a potential top-10 draft pick. It’s a testament to Bain’s skill set that he has been so productive despite this limitation. Bain possesses freakish explosiveness off the snap, knows exactly how to take advantage of leverage and can bend around the outside with the best of them.
