The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Adam schefter just said on nfl live that he doesn't think ayuik will be released any time soon.
He says they have no guaranteed money left owed to him and he believes they'll hang onto him at least through the draft to see if they can get anything for him.

Also love the fact a lot of these guys are coming home to play for the DC area. Family atmosphere in this organization apparently.

Big FU to Aiyuk.

They are sticking it to him. It’s obvious. Shows me it wasn’t all Aiyuk when it came to that relationship breaking down

Allen also got a pay raise by Minny. Hard to say no to that. I think Minny going after Allen and Hargrave for real money is one of the highlighted reasons that GM got fired. Why spend that money if they aren't really a scheme fit for the cap amount?

I mean, I wouldn’t say they weren’t a scheme fit, Flores’ D is lauded for a reason. I’d say they didn’t like their role in the scheme lol, and it wasn’t one conducive to stats

I wouldn't call it low risk when we've seen how quickly an offense can fall into one receivers hands because everyone else inexplicably got injured. The people you listed before were healthy and egotistical, not self destructive enough to refuse their teams' rehab. If someone is going to have an ego problem on the team, the least they can do is be healthy while having that ego problem. Hopefully Aiyuk can do at least that, but I don't trust him as far as Sam Hartman can throw him.
I’m not sure what narratives you’re trying to drive. It’s not that he didn’t rehab, it’s that he chose to do it away from team. It’s not unheard of for players to choose to rehab on their own. Dez Bryant and TJ watt come to mind.
If you don’t trust that he rehabbed properly that’s one thing… but that’s a pretty easy thing to test. I tend to think med staff here are not morons.

Who is at the top of your wishlist right now?

The only realistic player I would trade for right now is BTJR. I would like to save our picks but this is a rare opportunity to get a future potential alpha successor for Terry.

Greenlaw or Okereke seems like interesting options. Not much else out there

For Aiyuk's case.... Meh. Sucks for us, but they are doing what some of us criticized the Commies for not doing: Exhausting all possible outlets to acquire compensation. If a team gets desperate and needs a WR, maybe they take a chance. Slim chance, but the 49ers have nothing to lose. Aiyuk can pound sand.

Probably so, Higskin. Hope he comes here. Need a replacement for Ekeler.

Interested teams: Panthers have been frisky, who knows about the Raiders now (they've got bigger problems) and Seattle is supposedly monitoring.

This is exactly what I was talking about in my previous post. The 49ers are going to try and save face by trading him for a late pick and they won’t do it until April IMO.

I AM GLAD. THIS MEANS WASHINGTON WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE 😎

Doesn’t Dallas usually go after the fallen angels?

I think this team always underappreciated Rodriguez. He was just a player who got the job done. If there was a three yard run available he might get you five. He'd bust out a few more doubles than you'd expect. He's not a homerun hitter, but he was a very solid back when put in.

In fairness, we could use him. Otherwise, we'll be winning games 6-3 cause Jayden has nobody to throw to. :ROFLMAO:
