The 2026 Free Agency Thread

I wouldn’t. Trey + Oweh would’ve been sick. 2x30 for Trey was good value for the Ravens

Glad that the Ravens got him. He's on the list of most likely to regress this season, for sure.

Daniel Jones went to the Kirk Cousins academy for "Fleecing Teams with sometimes okay QB play."

Good for him. Shame he couldn't keep doing that in New York.

Except Kirk has been actually goodish..... Jones only looks good vs. our crap defense!

If we had gotten Hendrickson, with the EDGEs off the market, I wonder if we could’ve snagged at least a high Day 3 pick for Armstrong. A team trading for him is basically doing so for a 1 year $9M deal, which is very reasonable

If I were the Raiders I'd trade Crosby to the Steelers for like two 3rds. Just let Maxx sack Jackson 6 times a year or so.
Watch Crosby will get traded to Dallas.

Jones has been sitting there watching the other 3 teams in the division make moves and he is beside himself.

He can't wait to pull the trigger.

Let's face it, he is 83 years old and isn't interested in what is good for Dallas 3-5 years from now because he might not be here for it.

I was wondering what is going on with him, not long ago he was considered on of the top few defensive players in the league.

He’s just became forgotten due to injuries last season, probably due to holding in.

I think be reverts back to his Pro Bowl self and $30M a year to him for his age 32 and 33 seasons feels like good value.

He’s always been a guy who won off motor and technical dexterity vs elite athleticism

I still think he'd make an interesting linebackers coach or asst linebackers coach if he ever wanted to wear a whistle.
I definitely agree but it's clear that he not only still wants to play but he wants a lead role and there are still teams who would give it to him but we lacked speed on both sides of the ball so much last year.

It's time to put him and Ertz out to pasture, no matter how great they were for us and how much we like them. It's hard to cut ties with great players and even greater people but the young fast teams straight up dominated us last year and both of them looked like they didn't belong on the same field as those kids.

We play teams like SF next year. Do you think that Shanny won't hunt him against CMac? Do you think that McVay won't carve him up? We have to catch up with the Seahawks who we play again this year. It's time to switch it up because those guys wouldn't even be considered for those teams.

Yeah, but these older players didn't win their Super Bowls with us so I don't see why we would have a sentimental attachment to them.

These guys came here in their twilight years to have one more taste from the feasting table before they retire.

That's fine.

But these guys are not like Sonny Jurgensen or Sean Taylor to us.

Their relationship here is transactional.

One more thing on Hendrickson.

Danielle Hunter is same age and similar tier to him, perhaps slightly better given he is better vs the run. He just got a 1 year $40M extension. It works out as a 2/60 deal with the year he had left on his deal. Hendrickson’s contract is comparable

I wonder if we’re going to have a bit of a break until 4PM and then things get busy again.

Bad news is: still no offensive weapons.

Good news is: they don’t seem to be signing anywhere else at this point, either.

Jennings knows he is the last guy from that tier left. Question is how many other fits are there for him around the league?

I can see Buffalo involved despite DJ Moore. And a few other places. I wonder if the Raiders are in on him.

We’ll see. He’s a must sign for us at this point.

I haven't heard anything about Jennings in 24 hours.

He must be mulling over a couple of offers right now.

The Raiders immediate future is a bit muddled at the present time. I wonder if that affects their ability to get free agents now.

I don’t know if Buffalo has the cap space. Beane has done nothing in FA. Yes on the Raiders despite them having to carry Crosby’s cap hit
