I would care that our pro-scouts like him, and there is a viable explanation for his production dip. In addition, I'd probably float a larger return for our pick and see how desperate they were.

But in the end, if we checked those boxes, yes, I'd probably do the deal I pitched.

It’s your right to like the player more than I do, I get it. It’s a tantalizing thought if you think he’s better than the Jags do. They aren’t a model org obviously, although I do respect Liam Coen. But I get liking the idea of what he can be.

I just do not think BTJ going into year 3, a 2nd and a 3rd pulls anywhere close to the #7 overall pick. And if he’s traded it’ll be for a lot less than that imo.

Doesn’t mean he’s an unworthy target to try to acquire for a team with the right pieces, it’s mostly just that price that I think is crazy. I really can’t think of an equivalent deal.

If we trade number 7 for Brian Thomas I will curl in a ball, cry myself to sleep and openly wish for the return of Bruce Allen.

Why not sign Hargrave and trade Payne for him with a pick swap?

Because I don’t want to move back from 7 and I don’t think they want Payne on a one year rental.

Not 7OA. I'm thinking Payne and a 2nd for one of their three 3rd's. Idea being taht they would give him an extension

I wouldn’t bet on Payne if I were them.
 
The INT Robertson got defending Chase is one of the worst throw-behinds I’ve seen, with Chase actually breaking incredibly open on the outside if the throw was less poor. I can’t believe people talked this up like it meant anything
