My gut tells me Njoku is going to be the best bang for the buck. He didn't have a good season and Cleveland isn't going to bring him back given their cap issues and the emergence of Fannin (although he plays a different TE spot than Njoku). My guess is something like a 1 or 2 year deal at $8M-$12M per year.
 
Why did Baltimore give Andrews and extension and not Likely? Don't know the team well enough to know why.
 
This guy says it was Likely's injuries, then he pivoted saying that Andrew's and Lamar were more on the same wavelength than Likely and Lamar. Then he mentions that Likely might have priced himself out, so who know.

Most Baltimore fans can't believe they chose Andrew's over Likely.

Me, too. I think Likely is going to get paid big. Njoku will definitely dent the wallet but not like Likely.

Of course, we could open the ol' wallet. But I think Njoku fits the profile.

Yep. With all the needs we have, we can spend big at only so many positions.
 


Biggest difference between Daniels looking special as a rookie and fairly pedestrian (when healthy) as a second year QB.

Personally, I think a big part of this is not having separators at WR or TE.

But there’s no doubt that Daniels also needs to throw the ball away a bit more. Often he’d run out of bounds two yards behind the LOS for a “sack” instead of throwing it away as he approached the sideline. That’s just bad situational awareness, and he’s better than that. Can be and needs to be.

But not trusting his WR’s to be where they’re supposed to be downfield, scrambling waiting for someone to break free, and taking a sack that sets us behind…that’s something that has to change. Some is on Daniels, some on the offense and the sorts of routes being deployed…but much is on the personnel. Need to supply weapons.

All I could think of when reading this sentence was, I was over under and under was over dunn.
 
I see Kliffy didn't get picked for the Giants OC. He is really running low on opportunity. I hope if his departure was about him not willing to change play calls a little that he is having second thoughts now
 
I’m a little suspect of KC offensive coordinators getting a main OC gig. Maybe that is because of Bieniemy?

I could see him leaving or taking a break from football. He is generally a smart guy who has interests in other areas like tech and crypto.

He’s also made a ton of money

He’s still getting paid to be Arizona’s HC through 2027 I believe.

Rams hired Kliff Kingsbury to their offensive staff.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz broke the news, saying Kingsbury “wants to continue growing as a coach and learn more about what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL again.” This is a smart move. McVay has successfully balanced head-coaching duties while running the Rams’ offense since 2017. He won NFL Coach of the Year in his first season on the job and Super Bowl LVI in 2021. Kingsbury also ran the offense while serving as the Cardinals’ head coach from 2019-2022, though he did so less successfully.

If he plays the long game, he’ll get the Rams OC gig in ‘27 after Scheelhasse gets a HC job after ‘26. A year in that role will help his reputation and he will be up for a HC job again in ‘28, especially as a bunch of these guys who just got hired get fired that offseason.

I think the learning from KK, Slowik and others is you have to strike while the iron is hot and get the HC gig when you can
 
Boy Wonder's mailman and gardener get interviews for DC, OC and HC gigs. Hell, KOC went out there and breathed air for 30 minutes and got the Minnesota job. We'll see if Kliff's strategy works. It's been an effective springboard for others, but Kliff got zero real interest this go 'round. We shall see, indeed. Of course it's no surprise Jordan Schultz got this out first.
 
Who's kidding who. McVay did Kingsbury a favor.

Kliff isn't going to come in and teach Matt Stafford anything or mold Puka Nakua into a better wide receiver.

And he comes into a job where they have depth at running back and tight end so it's a nice landing pad, although at a lower level of authority than I no doubt think Kliff believes he deserved.

But maybe being denied the Giants and other jobs has humbled him a bit and he's willing to listen to the HC whose offense he will be running now and take some pointers instead of acting like he had all the answers himself.
 
Current wording is sticking to “offensive staff” - meaning not OC.
