The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Zion Young recovered a fumble there... and I know this is a "fun" game... but why would you try to lateral a fumble recovery forward? That was a really odd play. Shows a lack of awareness for him. And then Holton tried to do the same thing. I don't know why....

Man, the Arizona State OL and Carmona (Arkansas) are playing nasty football upfront. The National defense is looking really bad.

Cuevas... what a great reach block (Alabama TE)

Which would be why he makes more sense to keep in my eyes
To me it makes it more likely to get a good draft choice. I see a strong argument for keeping him too. I guess I just value his trade value as higher than most.

I was expecting to see

I mean sure if you get like a 5th I guess but it's not worth a trade if you are getting a 6th or 7th

Different OL group for the American team, same result. Brockermeyer (Miami) getting a good push up front.

Black (Indiana, RB) still looks good. He falls forward on every carry.

These teams are real lopsided. Who thought having Miami, Indiana, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, USC on the same team was a good decision?

It stinks they are dealing with so much wind. I looked forward to paying attention to the WR and TE's offensively. SO far it has really only been Fields showing off.

I also looked forward to watching all of the defensive players abilities in the pass game. Many have been fairly nonexistent so far

Yikes. That Wyoming tight end just completely ruined his draft stock.

I am very unimpressed with both defenses. DLs are popping a touch but for the most part the defenses are being handled.

The quarterbacks are awful so far. Pavia and Payton are just not getting their passes to their targets. Nuss looks like the best by a mile in this game. But still a few more QBs to play.

Black (Indiana RB) and Fields have been the offensive guys popping.

OL Inheanchor (AZ State), Brockermeyer (Miami), Carmona (Arkansas) are standing out.

All of the freaking good TE's are looking awful

Now Kasmarek (Ohio State, TE) dropped a pass. These tight ends are not showing out. Anxious to see Villari (Syracuse) and Koziol (Houston) in this game.

Boettcher (LB, Oregon) is all over the field. But no one else seems to want to help.

Well, looks like he is the only one taking advantage of the spotlight. It is crazy, I expected a good defensive watch today. Instead they are paying very dull

All of these RBs look like they're all conference lol

Jude Bowry does not belong. (RT, Boston College)

Altmeyer (QB, Illinois) doesn't have much pocket presence.

Sawyer Robertson (QB, Baylor) is also way off target. I'm sure the wind has something to do with it, but NFL QBs have to make these throws. But these receivers are getting their hands on the ball and not catching them. This has been an overall really poorly played game.

Cuevas (Alabama, TE) is the best tight end so far.

Bell (OT, Miami) is really plodding. Has been all season. Not great against any rusher with some speed. Good against run. But I wouldn't bet on him.

Yeah neither belong in the NFL based on what I'm seeing. They kind of don't even belong in this game

I've been calling the guy Anthony Vincent, but apparently it's Vincent Anthony (Edge, Duke). He's been beating the BC RT like he took the last piece of pizza at the Super Bowl party. Strip sack/recovery on Altmeyer. But I'm not sure how much of that is him vs. how much is Bowry isn't very good.

anybody seen anything from Ja'Kobi Lane? Is he playing?
