I've noticed when I swap tabs in my browser and then swap back to BGO that error message will pop up.

Same here. I have to reload, it verifies I'm human, which is reassuring since I question it sometimes, and then loads.

It looks like the bot wall is going to continue to keep the site a little buggy, but we have to keep it up til we can verify the bot swarm is done. We've run into some of these in the past but not to the extent we saw it over the weekend.

Thanks again for the patience folks, unfortunately the internet has a tendency to be a wild wild west and we have to be somewhat more reactive than we like. Boone is working with the new site platform, so we will look at the robo-verification's necessity as we work through it. I imagine once we get things cleared up, the bugs will go away too.

As the internet as we know it dies (and discrete, non-retail websites become fewer in number every year), I do wonder if a site like this, that would’ve gone under the radar in the old days when forums were everywhere, draws more attention from scammers and their bots now due to its consistent daily activity from unique IP’s all around the country/world. This site is a healthy specimen of a dying breed in a way

Yep, very well could be, and it's a constant refreshing of site hit, so the same exact IP address may hit a website by someone like you, Skinsinparadise, kdawg, or any of our members posting regularly, 1000 times a day between responses, refreshes, and reloads that may happen on the back end. It can flag as a lot of internet traffic quick
