Random Commanders Thoughts

It hasn't just been this game where the officiating was remarkably bad. There have been a lot of horrible officiating and the NFL really need to work more on this

The holding call on Coleman was indeed bs. The offsides on the fg by Tyler Owens that resulted in a 1st down was bs. The PI in the endzone on Noah I. was bs.
Still don't understand that offsides call. Owens was neither lined up in the neutral zone, nor did he jump early.

I've had about enough of the 'virtual review' BS. It seems random as hell when they use it, and I have seen too many already this NFL season where they still appear to have gotten the call wrong.

I will admit that I laughed when Quinn challenged the expedited review. 🤣

We're coming up on RedZone, people...let's root for everybody else!

Dan Quinn revealed his QB depth chart:

Daniels
Mariota

Johnson
McCaffrey
Yankoff
Lane

McNichols

For this week probably:

Johnson
Driskel
McNichols
Hartman

😎

Hartman is only here to look pretty

Not even, he cut the hair and lost his powers. Poor guy. Like a guy with a great beard forgetting he grew the beard to hide his weak chin, and shaving it off. Instant demotion.

And yet Jaydens chum is still taking up space on the PS. Any chance they are....not that there's anything wrong with that

Are you saying they're Brits? That they're best mates?

My conspirasy mind believes the only reason no Washington player was suspended because of the brawl was because they reviewed the tape and realized they'd have to levy bigger fines and suspensions on the Eagles players and they didn't want to hurt a playoff team.

I still think it was BS that somehow it was not offsetting penalties, but somehow it was two against us and one against them which meant they got a free extra fifteen yards. First, I don't recall ever seeing that before and second the tape (according to my biased eyes) showed the Eagles being the aggressors and throwing more punches.

I agree that it's sure hard to believe it was not offsetting penalties cancelling each other out. That is the norm regardless of how many mighty get thrown out.

I also think you are on to something about the NFL not wanting to affect the outcome of a teams playoff run with suspensions if they are avoidable (unlike DK Metcalf lol). Heck, Saquon pushed an official, imagine the uproar of that suspension

They should have gone forward with suspensions but applied them to the last game of the year. Every player that threw a punch should be suspended.

Pro Bowl selections are out. Tress Way got picked. Alone.

I thought the exact same thing. They are not gonna levy suspensions on the Eagles at this point in the season. The NFL is first and foremost about entertainment and making money. Fairness is down the list. Integrity isn't even on the list.

You may be correct on the suspension/fine part. Some teams always get the short end and others seem to get special treatment. It would not surprise me if they didn’t want to go too harsh on Philly.

But one correction on the enforcement of the penalties. Even through it was 2 on Washington and 1 on Philadelphia, the penalties offset. The Eagles still kicked off from the 35 as normal. The number of penalties on one side or the other doesn’t matter, they all offset in the end. Here is the box score to show the offsetting penalties and the kickoff on the next play that was at the 35.

Thanks for the correction. That's not how they announced it.
