This is why statisticians love data - there are no biases. Beautiful. You can see where it may come from (not looking at the details, just the composition of the metric). I remember the 9ers saying they would likely use BRob in short-yardage, goal to go situations.
There are talented coordinators out there who find what players are good at and use them in that way, even if it means adapting what they want to do greatly Win-Win-Win -> player looks good, win for him - coordinator looks good, win for him - team wins. I feel we don't have an OC who does that, and we were actually contending with a DC who almost to a fault didn't do that. Jury is out on DQ, but gotta like what you see in the secondary - dramatic changes.
I thought about this more. If they were to cut down to three RB's after signing a Hall or Walker I'd think the 30 year old McNichol would be the odd man out

A player is likelier. I'd consider something like Coleman and one of our later 6ths for Ronnie Hickman and the Browns 5th. They have a major need at LT and we could use a cost effective upgrade at deep safety especially if we upgrade other positions.
Doesn't hurt that Hickman is apparently the 4th most clutch player in the NFL according to PFF. See here.
I don't think they ultimately move him and the sad part will be that they will probably lose a starting caliber tackle for no compensation in 2 years

Tunsil was great and honestly, Connerly looked even better than him, although with some help. I still think that holding on the TD was bs. What else can a 6'5 lineman do on a play like that. The defender went so low that it wasn't even a football play anymore

You are probably right, the only way we could get proper compensation might be some type of player or package trade. I don't see anyone willing to give up a 3rd unless truly T desperate.
I think any O line can easily become a house of cards without strong depth. I'd need to be really taken by an offer to move Coleman and I doubt they'd get an offer like that.
As bad as this season was injury wise, it oddly was healthy at O line. A team can unravel fast with injuries to the O line if there is a poor depth. After what they went through on this count on other spots no way am tempting fate at the spot that most often unravels teams.

Brandon Coleman wouldn’t net a #5 pick right now.
Teams don’t trade for players on 3-9 clubs that can’t get on the field.
Coleman survived at LT last year but he isn’t going to carve out an NFL career at that position IMO.

I know the Giants run defense sucks hot ass, but I saw a different Crosky-Merritt yesterday. He was running decisively and hitting the holes hard. I didn't see the tippy-toe, pitter-patter in the backfield we saw a lot of.

Better than I thought for Sinnott in terms of snap count, and looks like he ran 10 routes, which, again, not as bad as I thought considering how little his name came up.
1 target still pretty tough though, need to force it to him a bit more, make him the primary target 5-8 times a game in the next 3. Like make him the #1 option on routes that, if they all hit would be like 8 receptions for 140 yards, and then see what his stats end up being.
^ I'd be interested to see on how many of those 10 routes that he was able to separate or be opened. It is tough on some because there is normally a delay for TE's but still...
Making Sinnott a target as much as you suggest in one game feels like a move the old Pats with Belichick and Brady would use.

Sinnott has admitted his game is not precision route runner. It is YAC. Need to scheme him open, fees him and let him get to work. Kind of like what they do for Deebo
He was getting open. Keim said he was open for a TD, but Mariota was distracted/thrown off by a safety blitz or the safety's positioning close to the LOS (can't remember his exact words from last night's podcast). Also was wide open over the middle on another play, but Mariota forced a ball to Deebo that was almost intercepted. He also praised his blocking.

It was last week. To his credit, he seems like a sharp analytical guy per his interview with Keim. I think he is just realistic about what he feels the current strengths of his game are
