That tracks, the same human missile thing that makes Reaves a ST asset is also a liability in coverage. Having Reaves and Quan on the field at the same time for passing downs feels like football suicide.

I think Morris already said Penix will start. Junkies hit and miss with their rumors they once in a blue moon break, last one I think they nailed was they were on before anyone else about Alex Smith's injury being serious.

While i don't know if that tweet is true. I do know Jeremy Fowler as a reporter is no clown so when he said on Sunday Daniels wasn't even close to being physically ready for the game against Vegas. I am betting there is a good chance Daniels doesn't play this Sunday.

I am assuming he won't play this week. If he was nowhere near ready to go for last week, and his mobility is in question, there's no reason to put him out there. I think it's Mariota. And I think that's not a bad revenge tour side show which could be a little fun to watch.

Latimore cleared concussion protocol.

Amos was "I'll tell you more on Wednesday."

If McLaurin is seeking options, this could be a long term thing, he might be out indefinitely. I'm not sure how he got hurt. It was on his long catch. It didn't look like he was hit or landed funny, though maybe I missed that.

Yeah for starters the chemistry was off starting the season. Arguably because Terry didn't do any camp. Same thing Burrow complained about the previous season with J. Chase for missing camp.

And maybe this injury is fostered some by the lack of preseason-camp. I don't know. It was interesting to read the GB coaching staff citing why they wanted their starters to play in the preseason based on their own studies that it actually helps ward off early season injuries.

It's ironic how Terry made the case during his contract dispute that he's been durable -- so forget the durability isn't typically the same at 30 plus argument as to it applying to him. And he loved talking about how he outran the Lion defenders as proof that he's bigger than his age.

So he gets hurt trying to outrun some DBs who were successfully closing down on him, hence the dive. Maybe I am misremembering the play. I need to rewatch it. But that was my impression while watching it.

A. He's durable. Doesn't miss games. So the idea that once he hits 30 that will change is nonsense considering it hasn't happened so far.

B. Him outrunning the Lions defenders on the screen he took to the house

C. He didn't play a lot in college so less wear and tear.

He more or less was making the case that he's built differently than other 30 year olds -- won't lose a step and will remain durable. Will see. But this potentially is a bad early step in his argument.

If Noah is out, too. I am guessing Chris Moore at X. McCaffrey at Z. Deebo slot.

I gather the Falcons will crowd the box and not worry about the deep ball. If its Mariota again, that's going to be one heck of a challenge.

I like most of what Peters did this off season but felt a few issues remained. One area where I thought they were weaker than last year is depth at outside WR. Better depth at slot. But worse depth at Z and X.

Yeah we knew there was a good chance Terry would take weeks to get up to speed and risk lower body injury. It's a freaking shame he and the team couldn't have come to an agreement when appropriate, not when it ill affects the team.

I agree with you on lacking deep threat if Noah is out. I can only hope Moore can fill in to some degree but they really need to effectively use Lane down field in the open field and through gadget plays.

Well this makes a game I penciled in as a win more intriguing. I guess I will wait to see what the likely gameday roster is going to be before I get too heavily into predictions/thoughts.

I also don’t think the argument held a lot of water because he got nowhere near what he wanted.

I'm starting to lose my enthusiasm about going to this game. I paid an absolute shit-ton of money for this, and it's not going to be what I wanted, win or lose.

And in a SB window season, his actions, didn't help the larger cause. As I pointed out at the time, there are some (granted not a ton) that are driven by winning a championship above all, Terry didn't come off as one of those rare dudes.

I always had the impression that the front office felt to a degree strong armed into getting him signed due to him being the only deep threat on the team with no option to get someone else due to the late time frame and also to a degree fans clamoring for the team to "just pay him". Kind of pushed into a corner to make it happen. TM didnt get all he wanted and the team even though they didnt meet his demands it still hurt them going into the season. Time will tell if it hurts the team long term.
