Great monologue from Brady here, worth the watch. About how his development wasn’t just studying the offensive gameplan and watching film with offensive coaches, it was individual time learning coverages with defensive experts, learning defensive player tendencies for that week’s opponents in individual meetings with personnel evaluators, etc. And talking about how much franchises aren’t doing this for their QB’s, in fact most don’t even know that they should.
And Kurt Warner confirms this by remarking with wonder that he never would have even dreamed of having these tools at his disposal in the league, wouldn’t have thought it was an option.
Most teams are not doing this…are we? I wish I could Invisible Man my way through our facility and see exactly what Jayden’s weeks look like and who he spends time with in film and white board sessions. We know he studies like a demon, but what structure is he developing within? Is it the rare Brady path or the more common path? Quinn, AP & co. talk a good game about developing Jayden but I wish we could know what the plan in place actually is compared to other teams around the league. I hope we’re one of the exceptions that Brady describes and that we’re doing right by Jayden
