Guess we had to stay put to get Connerly otherwise we'd have to settle for the injured OT, although supposedly he was getting healthy and a top 5 pick before injury.
Chiefs suck at drafting OL.
I'm interested to see how the WRs, CBs and RBs go.
Z'Darious Smith is better than any pass rush end still available.
Assante Samuels and Josh Simmons are better than any DB available.
I want a RB next . Scattebo and Judkins should be at 61.

I watched Brugler's coverage of the draft along with Feldman. It was interesting, he among others he spoke to that Simmons was a bit more raw than Conerly, then there is the injury, then the character concerns for him. They liked Conerly > Simmons.
I liked the pick last night. Upon sleeping on it, i love it. Protect your biggest asset. We saw what the Eagles did to KC with their O line.
I almost put Conerly on my guys list. He's such a good pass protector, so nimble. they can also put him if they chose at LG, you'd have a walll on that side similar to what we were talking about Booker but with a different style. Am guessing he plays tackle but it hit me this morning at LG, they pass protect on the left side would be elite.

Keim talked about that this morning, he says he knows there was interest. I also said in his defense, he said that if he falls down to 29, it might be that they had too many concerns. Keim had Conerly in the mix, too. I mentioned him a couple of times when the pick was coming up. I wasn't shocked they didn't take Green when he fell. I was surprised they took Conerly over Ezeriuaku.
But when Keim started this week talking about them really really really wanting to take an O lineman and shoring up that position. And McShay among others kept saying the run will be early on O lineman, get yours early because there is no depth at the spot especially at tackle. It did all up in retrospect.
Peters said Kliff left him a note before the draft started, take that tackle from Oregon.
I am hoping their plan with Conerly is to start him at RT and kick Coleman into LG. Let these guys know going into camp what their planned positions are for this year so they can prepare.
If Conerly can adjust his game to the right side, we are getting ourselves a group of new hogs! His footwork is extremely good, will just need to get stronger in the run blocking.

I suspect they go edge or corner if the board keeps going in this direction.
One thing is clear about the Conerly pick among other things. The players they meet with especially at the combine have importance.
To that end, I am gussing Ezeriuaku is gone. They spent some time with Landon Jackson, JT, Amos, and I believe Scourton. I wish we knew the full list of people who played Top Golf, I know Conerly was one of them.
If they go RBs, I love Skattebo but I think there is a shot hes there in the late 4th. I like but don't love Judkins.
For me if its RB, at 61, Kaleb Johnson, Giddens, Skattebo, Judkins in that order. But if mocks are correct, Judkins would be rated higher. I like Judkins but I wish he was more exposive. Skattebo isn't explosive but he's such a weapon in the passing game. Henderson I think would be gone.
I am still a bit shocked with all of the defensive players on the board that they took him but it certainly makes sense to protect your most precious asset.
I was expecting at trade back and them looking at RT or G in the 2nd round. It sounds like they fielded a number of offers but we're set on Conerly. Keim and company were all correct in stating that they were high on Conerly. He was the main OL they mentioned just as Harmon was the main DT
The thing that really jumps at me as to the focus on Conerly and all the mentions about O line from Keim this week that the depth at this draft is on their radar. Peters admitted such in his press conference last night.
If so, they might wait to the late 4th at RB. It's not what am advocating, but I can see them doing it.
My guess is if Scouton, JT, L. Jackson, Oladejo, Amos, Porter, Riley, Schweisnger is on the board, they'd take one of them.
If I had to think about a player that we know they spent a lot of time on similar to Conerly it would be Oladejo.

I think the problem was KC. They wanted a tackle, if they traded down, they'd have lost him probably. And listening to Peters I genuinely believed they really really wanted him. Thinking about it some more, its not easy to get a special pass protector at tackle in the late first. It's rare. If they get JT for example, I don't think its wildly different than getting Ezeiruaku. But who the heck is going to be left at LT-RT at 61, maybe Trapilo, Grant --and they could be gone too. And no one is comparing them to Conerly.
I do think its ironic in a good way that Conerly shut down A. Carter. It brought home a bit more when the Giants actually took A. Carter how nasty the D lines are in this division. Dallas doubles down on an O lineman with their pick, I gather with that in mind. Getting a dude who can actually deal with Carter is awesome. Heck our tackles couldn't handle Thibodeaux under Ron, now with Tunsell and Conerly that's all changed. Coleman I think can be an elite guard. If this all comes together, our O line would rival the Lions-Eagles as the best ones in the league.

Yeah I expect them to go defense next for sure. I fully expect them to field trade back offers at 61 due to the depth of the draft. They can get a solid RB in the 4th if they must.
If you told me my options were Conerly or Oladejo I would take Conerly every time. There were a few other defenders I had above both of them

trade up for a LB?
Yeah I didn't think Oladejo in the first. All along I as thinking at 61, i still do if he's there depending on who else is on the board.
He seems soooo them to pick him. i mean that in a good way. Oladejo is a reach in the first but late 2nd he's intriguing. For me personally, he is not my top want even at that spot but I like him.
We see eye to eye on Oladejo then. He received a lot of late hype that I didn't get at late 1st round
