I didn't get the feeling that Washington was looking to take a RB in the 1st anyway.

I think if Hampton was there, they would have. I have NOTHING at all to support that, except Peters was there when they traded for McCaffery to help put the team over the edge, and that would be a "put the offense over the top" type of pick.
