I'm on record saying I think BRob might be damaged goods. If he has the yips, then he's not going to recover. Maybe they think he's going to be ok this year, but I doubt they sign him to a second contract. It would be ideal to have his replacement on the roster either for 2025 or 2026.

I was watching highlights earlier in the year--he ran so much harder and with more intent. I think you're absolutely right--there is a night and day difference between his early runs and his runs later in the year

I love Arroyo that dude could be lethal in the right system in fact I’d be looking his way over a lot of WR’s though I love the Washington State prospect name escaping me Williams I think. He’s an upgraded version of Gary Clark.

Watched after the other 3 TEs, Fannin and Ferguson back to back.

Harold Fannin Jr. These type of TEs i struggle to guess typically as to how they will translate. Smaller TE without big time athleticism yet with big time production. See Harrison Bryant? Gadget type player - HB-FB? I really had to watch and rewatch a lot of him today to land on a take because I did so in the past and couldn't land on an opinion so I was determined to take a stand on this dude. He has a squatty build with thick legs and isn't fast. But he runs with a purpose. Not quite Scattebo style -- but he has some of that in him where he comes off determined to make a big play with the ball in his hands. He has good hands. He is a threat on all three levels. He just finds a way to get open. Majors in delayed routes which I think works for an offense like this. Stay back and block or do so as a decoy and then quickly get open in the flat or find a seam, etc. He's such as unusual player where it feels boom-bust. I can see him working here because of what he does in the backfield including being a decent albiet inconsistent blocker. I'd say low floor, medium ceiling. 3rd-4th round?

Ferguson. One of the first players I mentioned on this thread. Great combine. His athleticism is showcased with the ball in his hands -- really fluid runner. Good YAC guy who can make big plays on that front. Not the most physical player as to YAC. Decent blocker -- inconsistent but a willing one, had some nice moments as a run blocker. And factoring that here, he'd be helpful on 2nd level blocks especially because he can move. He is also good at delayed routes and while to my eyes he doesn't major in them like Fannin does -- I like his potential more on those because of his speed and he has some wiggle too in open space. I mentioned Loveland can move but seems to run into contact. Ferguson seems to have good vision in open field. They use him in motion quite a bit. I think hands and showcasing catch radius is just OK -- and this is the reason why he's not as regarded as some of the other more touted TEs in this class. Medium floor, medium ceiling IMO. 4th round.

On another note in watching Ferguson, it forced me to watch more Jordan James. He's a fascinating watch. He's sooo good at getting those consistent yards -- no matter the context, he gets it done. I think as i mentioned he sees it fast and accelerates fast. But what's confounding about him is he's so easy to contain after getting those tough yards -- its like he loses steam after putting so much into that initial burst. Really unqiue runner for better or worse. But if the idea is just move the chains, he's really good IMO on that front.

PFF lol talks about Robinson in the decline yet thinks we can trade him? Maybe a 7th rounder?

PFF isn't everything but I know they consider missed tackles as their most stable metric as to neutralizing-controlling the impact of the O line. Can that RB break a tackle whether the D lineman is penetrating or whether you are making someone miss is open field, etc.

The fact that Robinson is almost dead last in making defenders miss is quite a statement IMO. Breaking tackles should be what Robinson majors in considering his style of play.

Anyway not to beat a dead horse on Robinson, my point isn't really about him, its about when we hopefully upgrade at RB in theory at least its going to help our offense tremendously.

Washington Commanders: RB Brian Robinson Jr.​

The Commanders’ offseason has centered on upgrading the pieces around Jayden Daniels. In that sense, it might seem paradoxical to trade Robinson, but there would be good reasons to do so.

His PFF rushing grade has declined in all three seasons, and his 34 missed tackles forced in 2024 tied for 27th out of 31 qualified rushers. With Robinson only under contract for one more year and this draft class being rich at the position, trading him in favor of a rookie would be plausible.

For me its. Both fun for different reasons. Conyers has the Texas Tech connection to the coaching staff, etc. Good athlete. Chess piece at times in the backfield. Best PFF blocking grade in this group. Dippre is so physical --YAC, blocking, etc and a good athlete, too.

Watched him some in the Senior Bowl. Just watched a bunch of him. Wow. I love Jayden Higgins. So smooth. Can burn you on all three levels. I don't recall seeing before that they've met with him but stumbled on it upon reading some tweets after watching him.

If Higgins goes early 2nd and some purport. I got no interest in Egbuka or Burden in the late first albiet though all three are very different stylistically. I like Higgins over those 2.

I think with his size and vertical ability, tailor made for Jayden. Jayden to Jayden it just screams T-shirt sales.

I love that we are looking at giant OT’s with elite traits. It doesn’t look like we feel like we are done at that spot.

Also, I wouldn’t touch arroyo. He’s off my board. Missed most of two seasons and then injured for the pre draft process? He’s Erick All.

I think Robinson's knee and body just wear down as the season goes on. We all say how our RB's played the second half of the season. Ekeler hurt, Robinson looked as if he was hurt, the others lacking talent.

RB is a colossal need for the team, as much as pass rusher, another outside WR, etc. It just doesn't have the position premium others do.

I do think high quality RB is better than high quality SS. SS is another position where those guys tend to fall off fast from year to year. They get wrecked by blockers more frequently and it wears them down. If they don't have position flex to play Nickel, occasional Single High to briefly confuse QBs, etc then I don't want to pay premium cap space or draft capital for them.

That was just an example to show RBs aren't the only position where a big 2nd contract backfires more than you'd like.

Where not interested in second contract right now. We're interested in helping our franchise QB and reduce wear and tear. Too many games Daniels had to fight for tough yards, or be the only real option to convert on 3rd/4th down...and he's not built for that.

Conyers for sure! I think we need a pass catching TE. If Ertz goes down, unless Sinnott can take up the slack and other TE's stay healthy, we'd have an issue on our hands.

Arroyo is supposely fine for this week at his proday. I don't know if every player coming out of college is apples to apples as to injuries, that's for the medical staff to decide.

I'm with you. I'd like to see AP move down a time or two in the draft and nab a pass catching TE with a 7th or even an priority UDFA. Like you said, the TE group in this years draft is deep but not as deep as two years ago.
