The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Kind of strange to pay Kinlaw essentially what Allen was making to be equally as mediocre
Yeah. It's a lot of money sent to someone he has familiarity with, but he isn't that great and or a great fit. This throws me. There are a number of San Fran or Dallas players with staff connections that make sense of Kinlaw

The positive spin is he has only been in the league for five years, with only 45 starts largely due to injury issues. The team must feel like after a decent 2024, he is ready to hit his stride.

Got to laugh at some of the reactions here. I get on the onset that folks my question this move with Kinlaw, but after the season we had last year I think a "pump the brakes" mentality is needed until we see the entire menu is presented.

I do think the numbers are high, but we're not privy to the structure of the contract is as of yet. The guy might just be a rotational player who can continue to get better. Where is batteredfan when you need him. 🤣🤣🤣

Regardless, let's wait and see who we get collectively before we go all doom and gloom. Have a feeling AP cooking up a soup we'll all want a bowl or 2 of.

I am going to take some time to figure this one out. He seems like he will be good at collapsing the pocket. I am going to watch Jets games, later.
Have to GN. I've started watching and he always is penetrating and blowing up the pocket. This will help open things up for Newt!

Thanks, According to Con you are saving me a lot of emotional distress (I.e. watching the Jets)

One thing to file in the back of our minds was that the pundits take on last year's free agent haul was rather ho-hum. In fact, several said Peters blew it by signing no one of consequence and a couple of has-beens.

I’d assume we’ll now be out of the 3T game and looking at run stuffer types, if there are more DT additions

Plus EDGE of course

He’ll throw some rainbows to Nabors but that is going to be an ugly season with Russ there imo

Good to see you again, burgold. Remember your posts from ES.

And I agree, hence my take. The team was meant with alot of "well, they have work to do" last season until we showed up.

I'm not fretting yet. AP has a good resume and I trust what he does until I have a reason not to.

HTTR!
