I agree with everything wrote SIP. I can however see a similar situation to last year where all the top OL are gone at 29(barring a trade down) and you are totally throwing away BPA to take the top one on your list. There will possibly be CBs, RBs, DTs and Edge that you would have rated higher. That would be tough to swallow if it fell that way.

It can happen. Though last year we were waiting in the 2nd round so it was a longer wait. Especially if they trade down I think they can easily get an NFL ready guard, not tackle. And a D lineman and a RB.. And I could live with that. I'd rather have Coleman on the inside but can live with him on the outside. Kliff is good at helping the tackles deal with pressure.

There are a LOT of good edge defenders this year. 10 guys in the top 45 per drafttek and that's not even including very solid 2nd rounders Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau.

Honestly basically all top 12 edge guys are the kind of guys I could see going somewhere in the first in most years, even the Sawyer/Tuimoloau guys are the kinda guys you'd see a team grabbing 28-32 who they believed fit their system well.

Looks like Sawyer after his combine is a lock to not go in the first. Both him and JT are really good against the run. Intrigued by both.

Would absolutely love to get Xavier just dunno if we can get at 79. I feel like someone in our top 40 probably sneaks to 61 so hard to take Xavier at 61 but I also feel he doesn't make it very far into the 3rd.

I think Ezeiruaku was the first prospect I discussed in this thread as liking. He is a technician. I really like him!

The Edge is so full of talent it is hard for me to rank them. I will say the guy that in my opinion is the best DQ/Whitt fit that may be available around 29 is Landon Jackson!

Yeah I like Landon too. Freakish size and athlete, can set the edge.

Would absolutely love to get Xavier just dunno if we can get at 79. I feel like someone in our top 40 probably sneaks to 61 so hard to take Xavier at 61 but I also feel he doesn't make it very far into the 3rd.

He came into Senior Bowl week with a lot of hype, but then struggled to separate in 1v1s. Maybe he's just a natural zone guy or something? I question that value on Day 2, but I haven't watched tape of him specifically so can't commit to that.

I think he's got some real potential as a junkyard dog like Dorance Armstrong, poor mans Ryan Kerrigan, etc etc that are often cleaning up other peoples pressures. But where do we draft someone like that?

I don't think Xavier = McConkey. McConkey was my guy in the last draft, called him my favorite player. Xavier doesn't i believe among others things has McConkey's speed.

Xavier though comes off like a solid slot WR.

Like I said earlier, I think DQ and Whitt would love his absolute non stop motor. He is an animal attacking till death, or the whistle lol. He blows up TE's, he has power and does know how to use his length plus is good with has hands and hands technique. He doesnt't have a lot of bend but has some moves. All that and he is killer against the run. He can be moved around the line due to his length and power. How about him as a top of second pick after a trade back from 29 with Hendrickson on the other end

Heard a couple of guys on Sirius XM NFL Radio talking about Landon Jackson (DE out of Arkansas) as a guy that is like Aidan Hutchinson. Motor never stops. I was intrigued, especially if we can land Trey Hendrickson. MIght be able to get him in the second round (assuming we trade our first for TH).

I'd really like to have Landon Jackson but If we get Hendrickson for our 2nd round pick and let's say next year's 2026 3rd or 4th, I'd expect him to team up with Armstrong on the other side. Our DL is severely poor against the run. Sad as Payne has the talent but doesn't use it to produce except in his contract year which won't be with Washington. If we send our 2nd this year along with a pick next year for Hendrickson, we'd almost have to trade our 1st for multiple picks (there would be takers).

His height and lack of good length is negatively shown from time to time. He can get too upright when he engages and longer armed blockers can stall him out.

From time to time ,sure. Other times his height, length and style are distinctly positive attributes and contribute to his successful playing. He can truck or push TE's and players to set the edge. He is also able to keep clear of trash and make open field tackles better than most DL. He did pretty darn good against Bama.

Ah, it was sounding like you were just bashing him. Like I said, I thought he'd be decent for us in the 2nd because his all out attack style fits Whitt and DQ's.

That seems like a lot of top 3 round picks to invest in TE since we just drafted Sinnott, unless you aren't suggesting we draft him in particular.

I've watched him a little. Really smooth. Too bad he didn't run. Looks to me for a TE he has good long speed. Really good hands.

Ferguson reminds me of a poor man's Laporta who I loved before that draft. So I'd give a slight nod over Taylor. But plenty of draftnicks have Taylor ahead. I just looked at PFF, they have them almost at a tie with Taylor slightly above.
