To that end it kinda sucks how much Matthew Golden is shooting up boards.

The one saving grace might be if it pushes Burden or Egbuka down to us.

Deebo is our slot weapon. Egbuka can maybe play outside, but not Burden. It's a shame because Golden really was the ideal fit.

Maybe we can sign Slayton or trade for Metcalf (doubtful) to get that speed element on the outside.

I want the goddamn road runner. I want a guy who the safety has to bail immediately because he knows, if he’s even, he’s leavin’.

If you let a CB try and cover him 1:1, then you give up the possibility of an explosive.

Doesn’t have to be a great route runner. And doesn’t have to play every snap. Could be the 4th WR who cycles in.

But I want a guy with absolute elite speed.

The issue with the chiefs is they had literally nobody who did anything particularly well at receiver. And Kelce got old.

And they still got to the SB and lost 2 total games where they played their starters.

Worthy was also their most productive receiver this past season. The other options were a washed up Hopkins and a mediocre Justin Watson. I think the point VoR was making is that having a speedster along with another legit WR option could help a lot. KC didn't have that other legit option.

I am a BPA guy generally. But FA sucks like it typically does at O line, I think you almost have to take an O lineman. Heck if the Browns end up trading Garrett, the more I read about it the more it comes off like the Eagles are determined to get him. Imagine blocking Jalen Carter and Garrett on the right side with some backup guard (until Cosmi is ready) and Wylie?

Heck even without Garrett, the Eagles D line is disruptive enough. I think you got to go young OT or OG in one of the first three rounds. Of the dudes, I've watched so far my guys right now would be Donovan Jackson or Rutledge. Jackson to me like Coleman can play either spot. Rutledge to my eyes is grossly underrated.

Hopefully they can trade down and pick up another pick. If they do, I think you almost have to do some combination of RB, DT-DE, O line.

FA can help. If Keim is right and the need at DT is more 1 technique types there are plenty of options. Heck DE isn't bad at FA either. But RB-O line sucks in FA IMO. I think though this draft is so uniquely stacked at DT-DE-RB, it would be a shame not to take one.

Though I am all about the lines I am most intrigued by the RB potential in this draft. Its deep and I hope we find someone in this draft at RB, very interested in how we approach RB.

I agree with everything wrote SIP. I can however see a similar situation to last year where all the top OL are gone at 29(barring a trade down) and you are totally throwing away BPA to take the top one on your list. There will possibly be CBs, RBs, DTs and Edge that you would have rated higher. That would be tough to swallow if it fell that way.

Rashee Rice getting hurt was equivalent of McLaurin getting hurt here. Kelce is a HOFer but is older than Ertz. Their running game was really pedestrian.

I’m sure he’s likely already been mentioned but just looking at WR’s and I really like Jaylin Noel. I’m barely into the class but he’s someone I think is being underrated as is Teslaa Arkansas.

I certainly wouldn’t force an OL pick at 29 (if we stay there), but there will likely be others they like a lot in the 2nd/3rd that they can get, maybe with some maneuvering. Broadening out your point though, there will be a lot of other guys they love at positions of need that will be available at our picks (due to positional depth) that’ll make it more challenging to justify OL.

There is a ton of +6'2" WRs running low 4.4 40's in this draft. It is just jam packed with WR potential. Sam Brown, TeSlaa, Dike (4.3 40 at 6'1" 200), Savion Williams, Horton, Lambert-Smith is a 4.3 at 6'1", Roc Taylor, Thornton?!? This is pretty nuts.

I agree with a lot of this. I’m not sure about the Eagles and Garrett though. Can they really afford to add the top non QB salary in the league? They are going to have contracts coming up that they need to renew. And we should still be able to outbid them, both in terms of picks, and salary.

We definitely need a better OL to match up with the Eagles. And DL. Honestly, I think we we could land a true franchise LT and Myles Garrett, sign a cheap big body DT and a moderately priced corner, fill in inexpensive depth pieces, I think we are right there with them.

I know I’m a broken record in Josh Simmons, but it sounds like his medical situation is going great, as I thought it might. Imagine a plug and play franchise LT. Coleman or Wylie moves to RG and the other plays RT. That OL is massively better.

If Garrett might move, I think I’m moving up for a tackle. I know we don’t have a lot of picks, but going from 29 to 22 or so wouldn’t be that expensive and the difference in the OT you get would likely be massive.

I’d try to go all in on Garrett after June 15. As much as he would help us, keeping him off the Eagles is equally important. Just outbid them. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to do it.

I love Donovan Jackson and Rutledge for us as well.

I hate the idea of moving up, but OT is so hard to hit on outside of the 1rst round and in a division with Parsons, Carter, maybe Garret and even Thibodaeoux OL is crucial for us.

This draft is not seen as deep WR draft. You never know how the board will fall, but I'd be surprised if they are targeting WR with that first pick, unless it's after a trade down. There are FA WRs available, and I suspect we'd be able to entice guys here with the chance to play with Jayden.

I think Noel would be a great fit for our needs. I think he’s probably going to go earlier than we would want to grab a WR.

We only have 3 picks in the first 5 rounds now. We are going to have to be judicious.

This draft is not seen as deep WR draft. You never know how the board will fall, but I'd be surprised if they are targeting WR with that first pick, unless it's after a trade down. There are FA WRs available, and I suspect we'd be able to entice guys here with the chance to play with Jayden.

I think it all depends on how the draft falls to us. I trust this FO to actually do that and take the BPA without being overly position weighted.

If someone like Ayomanor or Egbuka are there at 29, I could easily see pulling the trigger on them.

I think you have to at least take a day 3 WR with traits though. I think DL should be a day 3 target as well, because of the talent drop.
