skinsmarydu you quoted someone else? I didn't say this! 🤣

It's called "keeping your ends done". That's funny, hubby used to say I spent more time in salons than at home! Me being in the restaurant biz, my hair, face and nails had to be perfect. (He paid all of the bills, I took care of everything else.)

That’s HER comment Red Wolf, she just put the comment in the quote box instead of below it.

So yesterday I looked at the weather forecast - the forecast low for last night. The low was forecast to be 45, but they lowered it to 44. That's the low that's coming. That means I can't put last night's left over cook out on the screened porch, it'll be too warm. But then before I go to bed, I look at the temp, and it's 35. How can that be? This morning, I wake up and it's 34 outside. But weather doc com insists it's 45. But it's not! How on earth can they be that far off??? /rant

Yesterday must have been some kind of anomaly, because I noticed something similar here in Falls Church. The weather app I use was saying the high would be 59 degrees yesterday. And, as I looked at the app at the warmest part of the day (around 3 pm), it was only 48 degrees.

I'm starting to think that the air fryer is to the 21st century what the microwave was to the 20th century.

I absolutely think that's an apt analogy. There really is nothing like an air fryer in terms of what it can do. 'Convection Ovens' (which is basically what an air fryer is) have been around a long time, but the way Air Fryer's are now desigend and marketed has been a revolution.

Very few indoor tools measure up when it comes to cooking things quickly and deliciously.

I undertook an internal debate as to where to post this (or post it at all) considering some of the mild political potshots included in the presentation. It obviously ultimately landed here in this forum because I found the overarching message so obviously compelling.

In 2 days, I have had someone hack into my Amazon account and order Valentines day stuff (I got lucky - I caught it right away before they could order the Playstation they had in the cart). Managed to recover that account. Then today, went to log in to Netflix and someone (I'm guessing the same person) had hacked my Netflix account and changed everything (email, phone, etc..) except my credit card info. Again, was able to recover the account. Now waiting to see what will be next. I hate thieves.

I used to get calls from NFCU every once in a while when somehow people had hacked my credit card and bought expensive things at a Walmart or somewhere like that in a location that I had never been.

That hasn't happened anymore though since they put chips in the cards.

It might also be because I don't shop at Walmart or target anymore either though lol.

Snow's coming. No audio with this live streaming YT vid though

I was coming in to post about the weather here, lol...
We were in the 70s last week, 59 today, 46 tomorrow. WTF???

Public announcement

My best friend tested positive for Covid. Mask up, everyone. Keep up that hand-washing.

Capital weather gang forecast is same but includes a "boom" or "bust" forecast. 25 degrees this morning at my house. They said the low would be 28.

Has no idea that the co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, was a huge Redskins fan (he's also married to Serena Williams).

Oh, I did...there's a pic out there somewhere of Serena wearing the B&G. (I think it's of them getting off his private plane or something.)

I was on Reddit a couple days ago and just happened to come across a healthcare forum. The healthcare professionals in there claimed that their hospitals are full. The reason is 2 types of flu, covid and a mysterious illness that they aren’t sure what it is. People aren’t dying from this mystery illness but it is putting them in the hospital.

Also, I just read that the flu is accounting for 2% of the deaths in California, which is crazy.

Whatever this flu is, I had it and it’s a real bitch. I didn’t go to the hospital but I was actively hoping I would just die one night.

Even though our country kitchen in this old house is pretty big we have limited counter space. For this reason we still don't have an air fryer. I'm sure I could find a spot if I understood it better. For the same reason we got rid of the toaster oven, can it work like that to reheat a slice of pizza?

I can't remember the last time I got the flu but it really is a terrible experience. It was recent enough for me to be reminded that a flu shot does not immune you from every strand. Did you have a flu shot?
