I always felt the likeliest scenario was a new name with a new stadium. On that day, everything could be new. A total page change. What has happened since though is a remarkable turnaround. Getting to the NFC Championship, getting a franchise QB who had a rookie year better than almost every other franchise QB at the same stage (or even many in their mature state) means, we the fans aren't demanding total change and it's possible in 2030, we'll have five years of success under our belts. What means was the best year to change the name was 2024.
New coach, new GM, new owner, new face of the franchise, new beginning. With that window gone, the name change becomes less likely. Now though, I think it all depends on squishy stuff like internal marketing reports that show that even if we have the top selling jersey in the playoffs and through the offseason it could be even better. Even if we see the stadium starting to sell out again with hometown fans dominating, something would be even better with a name change.
Because we're winning, now it's not about the name or culture. It's about money.
(Okay, it was always about money, but now it's even more about money.)
